Not waterproof, and the batteries aren't replaceable, but hard to beat when it comes to cycling-suitable smartphones
Apple iPhone 8, 8 Plus review: Benchmark set for performance and usability
The iPhone 8 (Rs64,000 (64 GB); Rs77,000 (256 GB)) and iPhone 8 Plus (Rs73,000 (64 GB); Rs86,000 (256 GB)) have retained a lot of the design language from the predecessors, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
Apple iPhone 8 survives the bend test, see how it handles other scratch and burn torture tests too
It is safe to say that "bendgate" will follow any new Apple iPhone these days and JerryRigEverything did just that to the Apple iPhone 8 . Surprisingly, it survives this very well but you can see how it fares under the bend test and scratch and burn durability tests as well for yourself below.
Apple iPhone 8 Smartphone Review
The iPhone 8 might be the last of its kind, the last Apple smartphone with a home button and IPS display. If this is the case, the Americans at least gave us a very good final chapter. We once again miss major new features or innovations, but the iPhone 8 still beats its predecessor in many regards.- high build quality
- True-Tone display
- fast SoC
- great camera
- accurate GPS
- Bluetooth 5.0
- high Wi-Fi performance
- many LTE bands
- water and dust protection
- storage cannot be expanded
- only 12 months warranty
- no stereo jack
- only average speakers
- display resolution could be higher
- heavier than the predecessor
- very limited NFC functionality
Apple iPhone 8 (128GB, Silver) - Excellent review
X marks the spot for Apple’s future, but the iPhone 8 is a safer – and surprisingly impressive – option- Blazingly fast, Camera borders on excellent, Great build that feels solid, Speakers are surprisingly good
- Pricey, Design is effectively four years old, Camera bump still irks, No headphone port
Apple iPhone 8
The iPhone 8, at $699 and $849, suffers from one major problem: the iPhone 7 is now $549. And the 8 just isn't $150 better - yet. The major improvements here are wireless charging, which I still think is basically a curiosity, and the A11 processor.- Wireless charging
- Powerful new processor
- Lacks the latest modem features and bands
- Single camera is a disadvantage for AR
- Not a huge upgrade over last year's model, which is still available
Apple iPhone 8 review: Modern mechanics, seen form factor
The iPhone 8 comes in two storage variants 64GB and 256GB, which are priced at Rs 64,000 and Rs 77,000. A price point where it has stiff competition from the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8 and HTC U11.
iPhone 8 review: so this is what good battery life feels like
Apple might have phoned in the design again, but an improved power supply, wireless charging and a cracking camera save it. But is it worth £700- 24-hour-plus battery
- great camera
- wireless charging
- fingerprint scanner
- water resistant
- 2014 design
- boring
- large bezels around the screen
- no headphone jack
- no fast-charger in the box
- expensive
iPhone 8
Don't let the iPhone 8 name fool you – this is very much the iPhone 7S, an incremental upgrade on the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 with a few additions here and there, but nothing to really wow you next to other smartphones in 2018.- Wireless charging is useful
- Glass rear is pleasing in the hand
- Camera is great at point-and-shoot
- Limited upgrade over iPhone 7
- Bezel-heavy design looks dated
- Battery only just lasts a day
