Apple's shiny new iPhone 7 was launched with the full force of iOS 10 and is one of the most hotly anticipated smartphones this year. But has much really changed since the launch of the iPhone 6S?

No radical redesign, no resolution boost and no headphone port. If you look at what the iPhone 7 is missing, at least on paper, it's all too easy to dismiss Apple's latest pocket blower as just yet another iterative update. There's more to it than that though. A lot more.

Has gone from 4 to 5, for 6+ and then to this. Each step of the development has been tremendously satisfying, and even now. This is the best iPhone I have taken so far, and although the step from 6+ not feel as great as in the previous models, so it definitely feels as if moving in the right...

If you already own last year's iPhone 6s or 6s Plus, there's little reason to step up to the seven. Sure there's a fair few improvements, such as the water resistant design and new better-in-low-light camera, but nothing that'll blow your mind.

The Apple iPhone 7 keeps the same look as the previous model, but is now water-resistant and comes in a Jet Black colour option. The iPhone 7 is faster, with more memory, a better camera and longer battery life, but the price has gone up again. Oh, and the headphone jack has been removed.

Controversy. Apple loves it. It fuels it and it's fueled by it. Rarely is brand hate more vocal and yet people stand in line to get the latest phone. It's part of the marketing game, and it has somehow always worked in Apple's favor.

The Apple iPhone 7 will certainly not be remembered as a revolution on the smartphone market. If you believe the rumors, Apple is saving the revolution for the 10th anniversary of the iPhone next year.
