Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7?Plus

iPhone 7 may not have been the huge overhaul many expected but it is a solid and worthy upgrade that will fundamentally change where and how iPhones are used. New camera capabilities are transformative and show innovation in imaging on smartphones is leapfrogging the camera industry.

Apple iPhone 7

Much like any other iPhone, the iPhone 7 is also a great phone, but it isn't the big upgrade over the iPhone 6S that you may have expected. It's an upgrade for those using the iPhone 6 or below, but we'd still recommend waiting for the iPhone 8 if you can.

Good camera; Great performance; Good display

Battery only lasts a work day; Camera isn't a great improvement over the iPhone 6S

Review: Apple iPhone 7

Say what you will about Apple, love it or hate it, the company invented the smart phone as we know it. The large screen, control by touch, a minimal set of physical keys. They were pretty much Apple (even if some of the ideas may have been drawn from elsewhere.

The iPhone is an almost universal standard; very good performance overall; a pleasure to use; good fingerprint recognition

Fairly expensive; entry level memory a bit limited given it can't be upgraded

The design was good although it was prone to scratches and fingerprint. The battery was adequate but still below with competitors.

It's very good...can be Great if Apple makes few changes.

An excellent device marred by few silly things (screen resolution, restrictions)which can be easily solved by Apple.UI is buttery smooth.3d touch features are really useful.Lift to wake screen function is awesome.Excellent cameras front and back.Excellent battery life.Resolution of screen is poor...

UI is buttery smooth.3d touch features are really useful.Lift wake screen function is awesome; Excellent cameras front and back; Excellent battery life; Easy to use in one hand.a rarity among flagships these days; Super bright screen with true to life colors; Better polished and stable apps compared...

Resolution of screen is poor compared any other flagships or even midrange android phones.its very annoying in the beginning if you are coming from any of those excellent android screens llike note 7; lots of restrictions especially the Bluetooth transfer and iTunes for music.its hard to swallow for...

Apple iPhone 7

The Apple iPhone 7 is the latest iOS smartphone and is the follow up to last year's iPhone 6S. It features a 12 megapixel camera, with an f/1.8 fixed length (28mm equivalent) lens.

Innovative smartphone but with issues

It's iPhone time again and whether you're a fan or not the whole tech industry gets a lift and the general, less-techie populace gets a lesson on the latest technology.

Jet Black version is epic; Solidly-built; Compatible with Apple ecosystem and accessories; Taptic feedback is nice touch

Very expensive; No headphone jack; Few stand-out features; Larger 7 Plus is better value; No VR strategy

I rarely review new iPhones in this column because by the time we've gone to press, there's normally been a flood of reviews and most Apple aficionados will have already bought one. But the response to the iPhone 7 and this, the 7 Plus, has been rather muted. There are reasons for this.

Apple iPhone 7 (256GB, Jet Black) - Excellent review

As a regular Android user for years, adjusting to iOS took more time than it normally takes when adjusting to a new phone. I had to get used to all of the different OS quirks and navigation commands and also find comparable apps to what I use on Android.
