In-depth review: Apple's 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus running iOS 8
Apple's first foray into the phablet business is largely successful, but we do have a few quibbles with the UI. We were hoping Apple could do something innovative with the extra screen real estate, something beyond Reachability.
Pros:
- Gorgeous 1080p display
- A8 chip and efficient communications package boosts battery life
- Optical image stabilization for iSight camera

- Large form factor limits pocketability

Review: Apple iPhone 6 Plus
Here's the best way to start an iPhone review: Goddamn do I love Android. I love its flexibility and efficiency. I love the way it bends to my will. And I've spent the past couple years loving that I can get a phone that isn't made for someone with doll hands .
Pros:
- Excellent camera quality produces amazing images
- Almost impossible to shoot blurry video, even of uncooperative toddlers
- Battery life will keep you going all day and well into the night
- Glorious, vivid, roomy display will make you want to throw out your iPad.
Cons:
- You call these widgets, iOS 8? I want to be able to read my email right on my home screen
- It scratches
- It bends

The iPhone 6 Plus is the biggest iPhone ever, with the sharpest screen of any iOS device in history. It's a record breaker, but is it worth the money? And is it too big for its own good, or too big for the average person to use one-handed?
Pros:
- Clever Reachability feature may solve one-handed use problems
- Superb high-res screen
- Beautiful design
Cons:
- Expensive
- Apple Pay feature not available in UK yet
- Could still be too big for the small-handed
- Rear camera sticks out a tiny bit

Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Though many people were skeptical that a larger-screened device could really improve upon the iPhone 5s-we weren't among them-the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus certainly do feel like steps up from the iPhone 5s.
Pros:
- The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have bigger, improved displays which enhance internet browsing and media playing - the experience is especially great on the iPhone 6 Plus
- Both devices feature upgraded back and front cameras with new features and better performance.
Cons:
- Calling sound is softer and more problematic
- especially on the iPhone 6 Plus which takes some getting used to - some users definitely won't like the ergonomics of the calling experience on the large device.

The iPhone 6 is still the best smartphone for your money in my opinion, owing mostly to the fact that the majority of people are going to feel most comfortable using a smaller device as their daily companion of choice.
Pros:
- Larger screen is great for productivity and media consumption
- Battery and camera noticeably better than iPhone 6
Cons:
- Not a one-handed device for most
- Priced above even the usual premium segment
