Review: Apple iPhone 5s

I pull my iPhone out of my pocket, tap the home button, and let my thumb linger an extra second longer than I normally would have. The lock screen fades away and the iOS 7 home screen zooms into view, each icon landing neatly on the display.

Blazing fast A7 processor; Call quality is excellent, especially using FaceTime Audio; Touch ID feels like the future, and works flawlessly; Vastly improved camera, particularly the slo-mo feature, is enough to warrant an upgrade

Apple and iOS developers have yet to dream up truly innovative features; Still waiting for Siri to reach her full potential

On the 10th of September Apple execs took to the stage, at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, and showed off three new things. The first was iOS 7 – a revamp of the company's mobile operating system for the iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone.

Apple iPhone 5s Review

Per usual with these "S" revisions, the iPhone 5s is an overall improvement over an already great smartphone. But with fierce competition from the HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4, and the Nokia 1020, the iPhone is a tough sell to those looking for a bigger screen, flexible operating system, and a new...

Touch ID is very well executed; Impressive camera; Excellent performance; Still the easiest smartphone to use

No real design upgrade; Still waiting for a bigger screen; iOS7 is still playing catch-up; No real improvement to battery life

iPhone 5s Review

Disclosure: This iPhone 5s review is not sponsored at all. I bought the phone with my own money and I have also used Android and Windows Phone smartphones for many months. So yeah, I know the good and the bad of all OS.

iPhone 5S review: the same, yet different

The iPhone 5S looks and feels a bit dated compared to other flagship devices on the market: we now have 1080p displays as standard, generous screen sizes that make viewing video and gaming more immersive, and even device with pen-input that take productivity to a whole new level.

+ Hardware is still fantastic: thin; light; and very high quality; + Excellent performance; + Still one of the best cameras; + Camera software enhancements–burst shot and slow-motion–are fun; + Speaker; now better; is still one of the loudest; + All-day battery life; + Touch ID scanner works very...

You can buy an iPhone 5S on all major carriers in the US and most major carriers around the world; And of course, you can buy, direct from Apple, ; The on-contract price starts at $199 for 16GB of storage, then goes to $299 for 32GB, and $399 for 64GB.

iPhone 5s review

Adding an S to the previous year's new-shape iPhone is a pattern we've seen before, ever since the iPhone 3G turned 3GS in 2009. And once again in 2013 Apple evolved its existing iPhone platform, only this time the iPhone 5 split into two – a new flagship 5s and a more playful iPhone 5c in a range...

Fingerprint sensor; Two Tone camera flash; Slow-mo video; Faster than iPhone 5; Works with all 4G networks; Future-proof 64-bit chip; M7 chip

More expensive than the iPhone 5 was; Screen is small when compared to other high-end phones

iPhone 5s review

Apple introduces Touch ID and beefs up the internal specs of the iPhone, but the fundamental design of its predecessor is retained. The 5s is one of the best performing handsets on the market, but is not the best value.

Touch ID works; Smooth performance; iOS 7; Great camera

Fragile chassis; 4in feels cramped at times; Expensive

Finally Apple has placed its advanced version of iPhone under the spot light. And needless to say, it is absolutely amazing once you get your hands on it. Just royal you can say! Metallic sheen of the handset will captivate all the time you use it.
