One of the features that’s been lacking when it comes to teen phones (which arguably should be one of the most important) is security. Teens tend to lose things and since smartphones now contain a large part of someone’s life, ensuring a mobile device can be properly locked down is very important.

Apple no longer sells the iPhone 5S. Though you may still be able to scoop one up new or used from a third-party, you're better off buying the iPhone SE, the least expensive model in Apple's current lineup, which starts at $349, £265 or AU$465.
