Apple iPhone 5

The new iPhone 5 is finally here and we have gotten our own hands on one to try it out. After months of rumors and alleged photos of the new device, we finally have it. The new model supports 4G LTE wireless, has a larger screen, a thinner and taller design and a new Lightning connector.

Sleek; thinner design; Larger 4-inch display; 4G LTE connectivity; Faster performance

No included Lightning to 30-pin adapter

Crappy battery, bad phone

My iphone 5 started giving me battery issues such as: a) it will turn off if you go outside and the weather is cold; b) battery life is way shorter than what's described; c) my phone is not even 2 years old and the battery does not hold charge (I never dropped or wet this phone).

Small size

Horrible customer support

iPhone 5 In Depth: A little Bit Longer & a Lot Stronger

The new model is fast and apps are snappy, the camera is great, and LTE support -- assuming it's available in your area -- is a fantastic bonus. But is the iPhone 5 worth the price?

4-inch Retina Display; comfortable to hold; thin design makes one-handed use easy; fast; LTE; new sync/charge connector; looks sharp

Chamfered edges scratch easy for some users; no USB 3 syncing; Lightning connector means iPad owners get to carry two sync cables

Apple iPhone 5 Review

The Apple iPhone 5 is the best iPhone in the market, but that really isn't a surprise, is it? But then again, for a phone that costs Rs. 45,500, it better justify the expense. The iPhone 5 is an incremental update over the 4S, but the best phone incrementally improved is equal to a huge improvement.

Blazing fast performance; Much improved display; Widescreen aspect ratio brilliant for multimedia; Lighter than the iPhone 4S; Excellent build quality; Camera is improved over the 4S; Doesn't heat up like the 4S; Surprisingly good battery life

Costs a lot of money; Nano SIM is a pain to procure; The OS just looks plain dated; Apple has messed up the Maps; big time

Apple iPhone 5

Nokia Lumia 920 – Though unreleased at the time of writing, Nokia's new Windows Phone 8 device has made quite and impression in the industry with a sharp design and an abundance of innovative features.

4" Retina Display; 4G LTE Ready; iSight Camera

Doesn′t support NFC; Apple Maps needs work

iPhone 5 review

The iPhone 5 is more than just Apple's latest high-end smartphone. In a world of huge slabs of phone the iPhone's thin profile makes it different to the Galaxy S4 , Sony Xperia Z , HTC One , BlackBerry Z10 , Nokia Lumia 925 and the rest of the high-end phone lineup.

Apple iPhone 5

Apple is out to rule the world smartphone market once again with the release of the latest iPhone, dubbed simply the iPhone 5 . iPhone 5 Review

The iPhone 5 does everything well. It's beautiful, super fast, has great battery life, is tied to the best app store out there, and it takes incredible photos and video. There's no reason you wouldn't want an iPhone 5, unless of course you desire the flexibility and choice that only an Android phone...

+ Incredible hardware: thin; lightweight; beautiful; different; + Amazing camera; + Gorgeous display with fantastic outdoor visibility; + Uncompromising performance; + Great call quality; + LTE connectivity; + Terrific battery life; + Lightning connector is small; reversible; + Included EarPods have...

- iOS 6 is generally more of the same, - Polished metal edges are prone to chipping and scratching; Apple logo on back scratches easily, - Lightning is proprietary and adapter isn't cheap, The iPhone 5 is available now (though you might have to wait a few weeks to get one) through the Apple store,...

iPhone 5 review

The best iPhone yet - but given the power of the competition and the high price, not the best smartphone.

Great design, Larger screen, Quality camera, It's quite hard to dislike an iPhone, no matter whether you love or disdain Apple's ethos; It's just so simple, with a quality screen and a real effort made into the design; And it's fair to say, rather obviously, that this is the best iPhone ever made.

High price; Poor maps; Ageing OS; The iPhone 5 isn't without its faults though – it's a handset that suffers from an ageing OS that doesn't look overly different from when it was launched five and a half years ago.

Review: Apple iPhone 5

When we review a product, we're usually given a sample by the manufacturer that's been hand-picked just for us to test. The hardware has been examined for defects, every feature has been fully vetted and scrutinized, and the software has been triple-checked.

Elongated display provides easy access to more apps, and makes for pleasant, un-letterboxed widescreen viewing; Lots of iPhone 5-ready apps to choose from already; Apple-engineered A6 processor is wicked-fast.

Anodized aluminum rear plate, particularly in black, has a reported propensity for scratches; Video recording picks up a surprising amount of audio interference, even in a quiet room; Updates, while all worthwhile and technologically impressive, won't make your jaw drop with awe
