Apple iPad (Wi-Fi + 3G)
The Apple iPad is a revolutionary, addictive Tablet PC with Wi-Fi. Add in 3G, and it becomes even more useful, just perhaps not $130 more useful, which is the premium you'll pay for always-on connectivity. And with 3G you have to tack on another $15 to $30 a month for service.- Sleek design
- Gorgeous, sharp, accurate touch screen
- Improved iPod, Safari browser, photo, and e-mail apps
- A plethora of downloadable apps
- Flexible and affordable 3G service plans
- Costs $130 more than the Wi-Fi-only version
- Some applications don't work over 3G
- AT&T is the only U.S
- carrier with 3G support
- Watch our Apple iPad video review
Apple iPad 3G review
Another fantastic device from Apple, but we're not so happy about the price premium you pay for the 3G version.
Apple iPad Review
It has its limitations but as long as you know this before you buy, the iPad is sexy, slick, fast and a real object of desire.- Email and web were made for the iPad
- games look great and play smoothly
- the operating system is solid
- speedy and oh-so-easy to use
- Flash player for webpage videos
- no camera or webcam
- costs a small fortune
Apple iPad
Is it worth it? Put it this way. If you never bought one, you wouldn't miss it. But buy it and you'll soon wonder how you lived without it.- Brilliant user interface
- lovely LCD screen
- great form factor and design
- WiFi support
- Quite an expensive gadget
- expensive accessories
- no Flash support
Here comes TechEye's appallingly late iPad review
It's a very expensive but essentially fun toy. Not quite mobile, not quite PC, but engaging anyway.- Fantastic design Easy to use Lends itself well to the average consumer
- Incredibly expensive Doesn't know what it wants to be Tough for work No Flash support
- But you knew that
There are apps for displaying music and guitar tablature, doing some finger painting sketches, reading comic books, playing strategy games, planning a tube journey, booking a restaurant, checking your flights. The list is, quite literally, endless.
Never a bored night for me since getting my iPad
I was offered an iPad through my mobile phone network, as much as I grudge paying another bill on top of my mobile phone, I have to say I love the iPad. I have a laptop at home and also a laptop through work so my use for the iPad is more for pleasure than to be used in a business sense.
Apple iPad PRO 9.7" Wifi (32GB, Silver) - Pristine review
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is a terrific tablet, and its enhanced display, new camera and sheer horsepower make it ideal for photography, video and graphic design work. Even so, it's still very expensive -- a full £150/$200 more than the starting price of the iPad Air 2 -- and we imagine that most...- A9X processor delivers impressive performance, Brighter, more colourful display, 12MP front camera, with 4K video recording, 10 hour+ battery life
- Expensive, Lacks USB port and SD card slot, Requires expensive accessories to function as a laptop, Only 2GB of RAM
iPad (2017) review: Perfect for first-time tablet buyers
Conclusion One other thing to point out is that the new iPad does not include the Smart Connecter found on Apple's two current iPad Pro models. As such, it is incompatible with the company's Smart Keyboard attachment.- Affordable price (for an Apple product
- Fast and capable A9 system-on-a-chip
- 1.3 million apps specifically designed for the iPad
- Non wide-gamut display that isn't fully laminated
- Dated camera technology
- Not compatible with Smart Keyboard or Apple Pencil
New Apple iPad 2017 review: Solid, affordable replacement for the aging Air
With the tablet market slowing down, and upgrade cycles being so long, Apple could perhaps have been forgiven for focussing mostly on its laptop-challenging Pro series. In fact, it's been almost two and a half years since the regular full-size iPads got a refresh.- Great app ecosystem
- easy to use interface
- slick and reliable performance
- long lasting battery
- Screen not quite as good as the iPad Air 2
