A powerful, beautiful tablet that needs a software overhaul
The new iPad Pro is in many ways the pinnacle of tablet hardware design, but its nosebleed price and software limitations narrow its appeal to creatives willing to bend to its current compromises.
Pros:
- The 2018 iPad Pro sports a gorgeous new all-screen design, Face ID and scary-fast performance. The new Pencil is a huge step forward in terms of design and charging.
Cons:
- The Keyboard Folio Case and Pencil are necessary accessories that jack up the already-high total price. None of your old iPad accessories will work, including the original Pencil. The headphone jack is gone, and its single USB-C port won't pay real dividends until more compatible accessories arrive.

It’s easy to leap to categorizing new products like Apple’s iPad Pro 10.5 as either revolutionary or evolutionary. Do they break new, uncharted ground, or are they last year’s flagship, polished and refined for another attempt?
Pros:
- ProMotion 120Hz display is astonishingly good, Apple A10X Fusion processor is wicked-fast, Solid battery life, Ever-growing selection of pro-level apps
Cons:
- Expensive, iOS 11 isn't available yet, Port selection still lacking compared to a regular laptop

Tablets just don’t get better than this - the latest iPad is phenomenal
Pros:
- Fantastic display that’s perfect for productivity, Performance that beats full-size laptops, Superb battery life
Cons:
- Pricey – For most people it’s either this or a laptop, The best is still yet to come with iOS 11

Apple has absolutely knocked it out of the park here. This is the best tablet we’ve ever used, for work or play.
Pros:
- Great new screen, Pro-level power, Still really portable, Top battery life.
Cons:
- Expensive to add Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, Do you need the Pro power?
