Hands on Review of the Apple iPad Mini
Steve Jobs famously said that he would never develop a seven inch tablet because the market was too saturated with them. Now that he has moved on, the company is focusing on what will make money and enhance quarterly sales figures.- More Lightweight Than Most Android Tablets
- Stereo Speakers
- Access to the Most First Party Apps and Games
- Easy to Use
- Geared towards Readers
- Long Battery Life
- 4:3 Aspect Ratio
- Non-Retina Display
- Lack of Customization Features
- Thunderbolt Connector Makes Old Docking Stations Obsolete
- Unless You Buy Pricy Adapters
- High Price
iPad mini 3
- Bienvenidos a 2013
Specs could be a bit better
Apple has never been the sort that takes out products in the low budget range as can be seen from some of the previous big guns that they have rolled out – iPhone, Mac and iPad. Well there's a first to everything and Apple has tried to prove the same with the launch of the economical iPad Mini, the...
Overall, Ipad Mini Is A Great A...
iPad mini happens to be my second tablet after BlackBerry Playbook. Though BlackBerry Playbook, which I bought 2 years back, is decent tablet; lack of applications remains the biggest issue with this device.
First look: Apple iPad mini
The iPad mini doesn't arrive in stores until November 2, but our US colleagues got to spend some time with one after Apple's media event at the California Theater in San Jose. Their conclusion: Yes, it's a small iPad-but there's more (and less) to it than that. Here are their hands-on impressions.
Apple iPad mini review Review
The iPad mini is a 7.9-inch version of Apple's popular iPad, and offers a polished tablet experience in a smaller package. It's too expensive however, and its display resolution doesn't measure up to competing tablets, or other iOS devices.- Ultra-thin and light
- Handles ebooks and iPad apps well
- Camera
- storage and optional 4G make for a full iPad experience
- Over £100 more expensive than rivals
- Low-resolution display
- A5 processor isn't particularly quick
Apple iPad mini
The iPad mini's a beautiful size, and a beautiful package the puts the production rivals of all its seven inch rivals to shame: Asus will really have to up its game for its Nexus 7 follow up.
video Review: iPad mini gives you most of an iPad at half the size
Don't confuse the "mini" in "iPad mini" with "lite"--with the exception of a Retina display, this slimmed down iPad gives you the full iPad experience, including access to over 275,000 iPad-optimized apps, in a device that's about half the overall size and weight of the standard iPad.- Most of the full-size-iPad experience in a smaller
- lighter package
- All existing iPad apps run natively
- Wireless capabilities and cameras on par with fourth-generation iPad
- Very good performance
- Incredibly solid construction and beautiful design
- No Retina display
- Some apps and websites feel a little cramped on the smaller screen
- Landscape keyboard is too small for easy touch-typing
Apple iPad Mini Review
If you're spoiled like us and are already used to high-resolution screens on your new gadgets, the iPad mini may be a let down, initially. But if you disarm your screen snobbery and relax, you'll find an incredibly comfortable, well-sized, well-built tablet at a more affordable $330 price.- Great screen size
- Comfortable and light
- 300,000 apps
- Good rear camera
- No Retina screen
- Lightning connector adapter is expensive
- No microSD
- More expensive than Android competitors
