The new iPad Mini is significantly more expensive than its predecessor, but it also comes to the user with a modern design, significantly more power, pen support, and optionally also with 5G.
Pros:
- very high performance, compact, large number of available accessories, optionally: many LTE frequencies and 5G, long battery life, decent cameras, decent stereo speakers
Cons:
- 60-Hz screen only, slight throttling, display could be brighter, possibly annoying jelly effect in the screen

The iPad mini is without doubt the best small tablet you can buy, but unlike most rivals at this size it is not a cheap machine. The screen is excellent and big enough to be usable for most things despite the tablet’s almost-pocketable size.
Pros:
- Pros: compact design, great performance, 10-hour battery life, great screen, USB-C, iPadOS, plenty of apps, great speakers, great mics, brilliant video-call camera, very long software support, recycled aluminium.
Cons:
- Cons: expensive, small size is cramped for some applications, no smart keyboard support, relatively small storage on the starting model with no way to add more.

Arguably a somewhat niche product – even more so given the price rise – but iPad mini with this update cements its position as the best small tablet around.
Pros:
- Much improved design, Packed with high-end tech, Perfectly portable, Ecosystem embarrasses rivals
Cons:
- No Apple hardware keyboard, It’s had quite a price hike, Easy-to-muffle speakers, Loads of bordered apps/games

Apple iPad mini (6th Gen)
Purchased as an upgrade and so very pleased I did. Fantastic display & graphics. Much clearer and brighter than my old model. Screen is also larger than previous mini I owned. My only issue was getting the iPad sent to my home town. I saw that a store in Brisbane had stock but when I rang them, they were unable to post to post to me directly. The online ordering system said that the iPad could not be delivered to my area (even though I know Toll come here everyday). Out of sheer frustration, I rang the national phone number, explaining the problem. All I needed was the product code from the internet, the store name that had the stock and the trusty Visa card - done! That was on a Friday, parcel arrived on the Monday. Fabulous! Thank you so much

Apple iPad Mini 6 review
The iPad mini 6 feels like the ultimate expression of what Apple always wanted it to be: a highly flexible computer in the smallest possible space. This upgrade makes it as capable for creative work as for entertainment, and despite the price hike, it's an excellent buy as an ultraportable companion...
Pros:
- Smaller body, bigger screen, Bright and sharp display, Apple Pencil 2 support, USB-C & (optional) 5G, Powerful A15 chip
Cons:
- Screen still too small for some uses, Screen isn't high-refresh rate, No Smart Connector or 3.5mm jack, Weaker battery life than other iPads
