Apple iPad Air

Product of the Year, Awards 2014. With improvements everywhere, the iPad Air is a stunning piece of technology that's a joy to use

Crisper picture with brighter whites and better blacks; More open; dynamic and subtler sound; Faster and more powerful; Beautiful build; Great selection of apps; Good battery life

Camera's colours aren't as natural as before; Slimmer bezel means more thumbs on screen

iPad Air review

The original iPad Air told us all we needed to know about Apple's changed approach to tablets – with a 43% thinner bezel and a 28% lighter body than the iPads that came before it, the Air champions the 'easier to live with' ideal.

Apple iPad Air in-depth review - Breathe it in

You may think that the humble iPad needs no real introduction, with even technophobes well aware of Apple's iconic and game-changing tablet. However, Apple complicated matters a little with the introduction of the iPad mini last year, while refusing to give its full-sized 9.7-inch versions sensible...

Light and slender build; Zippy A7 processor; Sleek new iOS 7; Great battery life

Not cheap; Good ol' iTunes; Still no memory card slot

Apple iPad Air Review

This is the best version of the iPad we've seen to date with fantastic performance from a light, slim chassis. The Retina display is as it always has been, but the iOS has had an overhaul, which was much needed.

Light, slim chassis; speedy A7 processor; slick new iOS 7; Impressive battery life

Pricey; iTunes; no memory card slot

Apple iPad Air review

The iPad Air is the latest tablet to arrive in Apple's range. It's adopted the Air name, just like the MacBook Air, to show off its thin and light stature. No Apple iPad 5 branding to be found here even though, in essence, the Air is the fifth full-size tablet release from the Cupertino-based...

Thinner; lighter; faster; iLife and iWork apps are great; truly desirable tablet

Same camera as iPad 4; no 802.11 ac; can't realise 64-bit speed yet

Hate Apple. But device was a present as requested.

I don't like this product at all because it's made by Apple. You can't use any music, videos or e-books on it unless bought from apple, (or use third party software) and then they have DRM on them so they cannot be used except on an apple product. Yet you have bought and paid for them. GROSS!
