Apple® iPad 9.7" Wi-Fi Only (2017 Model, 5th Generation)
I have waited for a new iPad that was affordable and was the 9.7 inch. This is a great basic iPad, everything I need. Very excited to be using it. Lots of storage. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

New 2017 iPad Review: Apple Offers a Budget Tablet
Apple's new 9.7-inch 2017 iPad doesn't come with a lot of surprises except for one, the $329 price tag Apple gave the 32GB model. It now competes with other budget tablets including the company's own

Apple iPad review (2017)
This is the base model of course, so if you want 128GB rather than 32GB of storage, you'll have to pay £429.

Great tablet, fantastic price, and wife didn't mind me getting it first.
Purchased my iPad (2017) at local store in Utah and am having a blast using it. Wife wanted me to get one first, next we get hers. Hmm... maybe if I can talk her into taking mine I can get the model with cellular.
Pros:
- Wonderful resolution/clear sound/lightweight/it's an iPad
Cons:
- could use more power/cellular not included at $329(wish it was)

New Apple iPad 2017 review: Solid, affordable replacement for the aging Air
With the tablet market slowing down, and upgrade cycles being so long, Apple could perhaps have been forgiven for focussing mostly on its laptop-challenging Pro series. In fact, it's been almost two and a half years since the regular full-size iPads got a refresh.
Pros:
- Great app ecosystem
- easy to use interface
- slick and reliable performance
- long lasting battery
Cons:
- Screen not quite as good as the iPad Air 2

The 2017 iPad's new, aggressive pricing is laser-guided to take down premium-priced Android equivalents. That, plus its impressive battery life and infinite well-curated apps, make it today's best-value tablet.
Pros:
- Newly competitive price for its screen size
- Solid construction
- Strong app ecosystem
- Satisfying battery life
Cons:
- Incrementally thicker than predecessor
- Slow charging

Review: Apple iPad (2017)
Here's an interesting fact for you: if you take the iPad mini out of the equation, Apple's sales of larger iPads actually rose last quarter. The release of the iPad Pro 9.7 coupled with the enduring popularity of the iPad Air 2 meant that, far from being in decline, the iPad was on the up.

Plenty of space & power at a great price
Replaced my iPad gen 4 model with this new model, mostly because I wanted more storage space for my apps, games, photos, videos, etc. 128gb is the way to go...plenty of space and room to do it all! ... nad the A9 chip in this puppy races with fast responses to any demands..

It's hard not to compare this fifth-generation iPad to the tablets that came before it as it's essentially a hodgepodge of hardware and components Apple already had lying around with the latest iOS software slapped on top. But a Frankenstein's monster this is not.
Pros:
- Respectable battery life
- Sturdy and lightweight
- Beautiful design
- Affordable
