Apple iPad 10.2 (2020) - Rejuvenation of the lower-priced Apple tablet
The iPad 2020 is not a huge leap forwards in the iPad 10.2 series. In addition to a more powerful So... iPad goes Bionic. The new iPad and the old iPad come with very similar specifications sheets. The 2020 model has a new SoC and a smaller carbon footprint.- beautiful design
- great battery life
- high level of performance
- support for the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard
- long-lived product line
- predecessor had a somewhat better display
- only Bluetooth 4.2
- screen-to-body ratio appears antiquated
Apple 10.2-inch iPad Wi-Fi 128GB - Gold MYLF2X/A review
Apple’s latest iPad opts for evolution over revolution – and modest evolution at that. But it’s easier to accept when the end product is this good- Excellent
- decent-sized screen
- Useful iPadOS 14 features
- Keyboard support
- Few upgrades
- Limited stereo speakers
Apple iPad 8th generation (2020) review review
- The A12 is a powerhouse at this price-point
- The screen is big and bright
- App ambition Android can only dream of
- Strong accessories ecosystem
- Reflective screen and no True Tone
- Entry level 32GB storage is miserly
- Dated bezel-heavy design
- Speaker positioning remains irksome
Apple 10.2-inch iPad Wi-Fi 128GB - Gold MYLF2X/A review
There’s only one major change over last year’s iPad, but it’s one that really matters: the A12 ensures this iPad will last.- The A12 is a powerhouse at this price-point
- The screen is big and bright
- App ambition Android can only dream of
- Strong accessories ecosystem
- Reflective screen and no True Tone
- Entry level 32GB storage is miserly
- Dated bezel-heavy design
- Speaker positioning remains irksome
Apple iPad 8th generation (2020) review
This iPad’s name has nothing extra tacked on the end. It’s no Air and no Pro – and that’s how it feels when you use it. But then it’s not trying to be those devices. This is Apple’s entry-level iPad – an iPad for the masses. The design feels old-hat and 32GB of storage is a misfire, but the shift to the A12 chip is the main story. That alone makes this a far more capable iPad than last year’s model – and one with greater longevity, whether you want a tablet for consuming media or fancy using one for creativity and work.- The A12 is a powerhouse at this price-point
- The screen is big and bright
- App ambition Android can only dream of
- Strong accessories ecosystem
- Reflective screen and no True Tone
- Entry level 32GB storage is miserly
- Dated bezel-heavy design

iPad 10.2in (2020) review
It may not have the updated design of the iPad Air or Pro, but there's a lot to like about Apple's entry-level iPad, especially with noticeable performance gains compared to last year's option.- Cheap
- Large, bright display
- Compatibility with Apple accessories
- 32GB of storage
- Downward-firing speakers
- 1.2Mp front-facing camera
Apple 10.2-inch iPad Wi-Fi 128GB - Gold MYLF2X/A review
The eighth-generation iPad for 2020 isn’t a radical upgrade from the previous few versions of Apple’s cheapest tablet. But the company has done enough with new chips and software to keep it head and shoulders above the competition at a price point of about £300.- good performance
- good battery life
- good screen
- iPadOS
- plenty of apps
- good speakers
- long support
- recycled aluminium.
- older design
- no USB-C
- fairly slow charging
- no Fornite or cloud game streaming
- no multi-user support
- low storage on the starting model with no way to add more.
Apple 10.2-inch iPad Wi-Fi 128GB - Gold MYLF2X/A review
The Apple iPad (2020) carries over design elements from its predecessor, but upgrades the processor to the Apple A12 Bionic....- Excellent hardware Good display Good battery life Decent camera Touch ID Affordable
- Unsightly bezels Some apps still not optimized No Face ID Lightning port Apple Pencil not included Paltry entry-level storage
Apple 10.2-inch iPad Wi-Fi 128GB - Gold MYLF2X/A review
The 2020 iPad is basically the same solid tablet we got last year, except it runs and charges a little faster. That may not sound thrilling (because it isn’t) but this is an extremely competent device made more flexible by design changes and Pencil improvements in iPadOS 14.- It’s cheap! Improved performance
- Battery life is still great
- Includes a fast new charger
- Base model only has 32GB of storage
- Front-facing camera isn’t great
