There's a lot to like about Apple's new tablet offering. It's more affordable than ever, it works with the Apple Pencil and, with a more school- and teacher-focused software offering, it will have greater appeal to educators than before.
Apple iPad (2018)
Apple's sixth generation iPad is a notable update over the model it replaces and makes even more sense as the most affordable iPad now geared more towards education and creative users.
Apple iPad 9.7 (2018) review: the go-to iPad tablet gets a little bit better and a little bit cheaper
Last year, Apple introduced its cheapest iPad (non-Mini, at least) – the £339 iPad 5th generation . It came with no bells, and absolutely no whistles – its case even copied 2013's iPad Air, rather than the thinner, slicker look of the iPad Pro 10.5-inch or iPad Pro 12.9-inch.- Great battery life
- Good screen
- Sufficiently powerful
- Great value
- Weak speakers
- No TrueTone screen
- Camera isn't very strong
Apple iPad (2018) review: Still outperforms every Android tablet
Apple has only itself to blame for this: the sixth generation of the iPad is a cheap iPad, or at least cheap by Apple's standards. You get the sense that it was cheaply produced around almost every corner, and yet Apple has still produced an enormously good tablet with its 2018 edition.- Strong performance
- High-quality apps
- Display isn't exceptional
- Slow fingerprint reader
Apple 9.7-inch iPad 6th generation review: An iPad Pro for the budget conscious
The 6th Generation iPad or the 2018 iPad (whatever you want to call it) shapes up as a great media consumption device. As a tool for education, it's suitable for those classroom sessions that require students to rely on Augmented Reality based apps while still keeping a fair budget on the hardware...
Apple iPad 2018 review: A learning tool worth the investment
Apple iPad 9.7-inch 2018 review: Priced Rs 28,000 and above, we would recommend the iPad for children of all ages as a good learning tool.

This is a great ipad but just be careful with the attached keyboard and case. It scratches the screen of the tablet as it moves around somewhat. My screen is now scratched quite a lot. The keyboard is not that easy to use as the buttons on it are quite small and not the easiest to use or see.

- They are still a long way for speed...but then...I’m impatient and I wish Apple were faster...and considering it is faster than anyone else....I’m too demanding....they are already doing the impossible....I’m waiting for the miracles....
So user friendly can't fault it.
iPad 2018 great item for saving space but being able to check email browse internet buying from eBay and viewing photos without having to use PC. It was very easy to setup and to set a apple account to share photos between my iPad and my iPhone. The battery is very good and lasts hours.
