BEST TABLET EVER! The new ipad 3!

I just sold my other iPad 2 to purchase this new iPad and in my opinion its the best decision I've ever made. It's very user friendly. The retina display is amazing! I love the the high resolution display, it's much faster than the ipad 2, the higher quality graphics that the new camera takes, and...
Pros:
  • The retina display is amazing on the new ipad
  • also apple updated the back camera
Cons:
  • The only thing is that the new ipad is thicker and heavier

Apple New iPad Video Review Part 1

It's no iPhone 5, but the Apple iPad 3 (which Apple is calling the new iPad) is an evolutionary bump from the iPad 2. Available now, it offers an Apple A5X processor with quad-core graphics, a 9.7-inch Retina Display with 2048x1536 pixels, a 5-megapixel iSight camera with 1080p HD video recording, a...

The new Apple iPad - expert review

I would definitely recommend the upgrade, even if you have an iPad 2, the difference in quality is immediately visible the moment you start using the new iPad. The tablet itself is comfortable to use and not too heavy.

Great Tablet!

The screen is bright and displays crisp details. The battery is average and can last for about 5 days of normal usage. The loudspeaker and the microphone is good. The aluminium back and glass panel on the front give it a good build quality and hefty feel.
Pros:
  • Screen
  • Text input
  • Browsing the Internet
  • Camera is great
  • Smooth performance
  • no lag at all
Cons:
  • Average battery life

Apple Retina iPad mini

Sometimes it's the little things. Introduced in late 2012, the iPad mini was as slow as the iPad 2 (which was then almost two years old). It didn't have the gorgeous Retina display that Apple had added to the iPad earlier in the year.
Pros:
  • High-resolution Retina display
  • same A7 processor as iPad Air, High-resolution Retina display
  • same A7 processor as iPad Air
Cons:
  • Camera not as good as on iPhones
  • no Touch ID fingerprint detector, Camera not as good as on iPhones
  • no Touch ID fingerprint detector

Apple iPad Mini 2 with Retina display review

If it wasn't for the tiny niggles of colour reproduction, performance and price, we'd give the iPad Mini with Retina display the overall tablet crown. Colours look slightly more vivid and accurate both on the iPad Air (which also performs ever-so-slightly better) and key, cheaper rivals such as the...
Pros:
  • Gorgeous build
  • stunning Retina screen
  • All day battery life
  • Much faster than the original Mini
Cons:
  • Very expensive compared to 7/8in tablets
  • No expandable storage
  • Marginally inferior colours compared to Air's screen

In our review of Apple's original iPad mini last year, we remarked that its exceptional iOS app catalogue, outstanding build quality and super light weight were only let down by a mediocre screen.
Pros:
  • Excellent battery life
  • Retina screen a big upgrade
  • Fast
  • snappy performance
Cons:
  • More expensive than predecessor
  • Screen can't match iPad Air
