Apple’s newest basic iPad doesn’t set the bar for ultimate performance in the tablet market, and it’s not the most exciting iPad ever made, but it isn’t meant to be either of those things. This new iPad offers a solid, consistent tablet experience at the lowest price we’ve seen from Apple in a new, full-size tablet.

Massive memory

Love the fact I can finally use my photo editing program, having 128GB memory, and a lot faster, I no longer have to keep taking apps off. My old iPad was only 16GB, couldn't really do much with it. Well worth buying.

Quietly, and without the fanfare of a press event, Apple has launched its latest iPad, branded in most cases simply 'iPad'; the Air branding is no more.

Satisfied.

I purchased two, one for me and one for my daughter. I also purchased keyboard for both IPADS. My daughter & I both recommend them and our very happy with our purchase.

What a great product, will not be beaten by any other similar product on the market, for the money this is the beezneez of recliner surfing in front of the telly!

A pple had one major problem with their iPad range. The original tablets were good enough to last for years if kept in good condition, which is why the company introduced the Air and Pro ranges. Finally, after almost five years, the company launched the 5th-generation edition earlier in 2017.

What is an iPad for We think it's for web browsing, second-screen video watching, gaming, and reading. And for all of those uses, the 2017 iPad is excellent. Its A9 processor is even capable of video conferencing and low-key Microsoft Office work without a problem.

Read what you like into Apple’s branding, but with this latest iPad being short of any modifier (Air! Mini! Pro! Just Buy It Already!), it feels like Apple’s saying this is the iPad for almost everyone. If you want something smaller, buy a mini, and if you need a Pencil, grab a Pro, otherwise just get this iPad. Is it the best iPad? No. That accolade still rightly belongs to the Pro. And occasionally (again: that reflective screen), Apple should perhaps have reconsidered some of its cost-cutting decisions. On the whole, though, it’s hard to grumble at the new iPad’s marriage of form factor, power, app ecosystem, and price. If you’ve an iPad Air or earlier, this is a strong upgrade; if you’re new to tablets, you won’t find anything better for the price. Buy the new iPad here from Apple
