Don't believe those who say the first generation ipad is no longer any use. It may not be as fast or slick as newer versions and It only gets OS 5.01. Who cares! It is possible to download older versions of apps such as Netflix, Spotify etc that work perfectly. This tablet ticks all my boxes.

iPad 2
I got the iPad 2 at the time when it was very popular. It is still a great tablet, but compared to more recent tablets it is lacking. The build quality is awesome and I don't have a single scratch on the screen so far. In today's standards, the pixelage is bad and the speed is a little slow.

Cons:
- Low pixel density
- Horrible camera

Decent iPad.
It connects to a lot of neat accessories, like the iPad Keyboard Dock, which only enhances the tablet experience, combining Multi-Touch with traditional controls - a dream come true, for many Apple fans.

Decisions, decisions!
I debated between an iPad mini 4 w/cellular but that debate was settled when the new iPad 2017 was released. I have an original iPad mini w/o cellular which I love so it was a no brainer to go with another iPad, but wanted to be able to use it when traveling. This iPad is perfect for me.
