Yamaha is a well-known company throughout the entire world. It has been around since the 1800s, making audio-related instruments and equipment. It began with reed organs in Japan and has expanded to become a worldwide corporation that owns many subsidiaries and affiliates presently.
Pros:
- The Yamaha NS-777 has four drivers to accurately cover a wide frequency range
Cons:
- These floor standing speakers have three-way binding posts rather than five-way

GREAT SOUND!!!
I called Newegg to tell them what was up. The awesome CS rep read the tracking report and offered a full refund for all 4 (!!) speakers or to ship new ones. I couldn't lie...I told her I had two of them, somehow they shipped separately, and to please ship just 2 new ones.
Pros:
- These babies are great! Generally speaking, I can hear all the minor differences in all audible circumstances like MP3 compression, bass cutoffs etc
- I mean, I hear phones ringing before they ring!
Cons:
- I ordered 4 of these when on sale for ~199
- I got two within 5 buisiness days
- UPS tracking showed that the other two (shipped separately) were damaged in transit and being sent back() A later same-day tracking post said "I" 'turned down the shipment' (!!!) UPS isn't the most trustworthy company.

YAMAHA NS-777 Speakers
Overall the product is great. I utilized the bi-wiring connection to my Yamaha RX-V1000 receiver and the range of sound reproduction is just super. The cabinet style and black piano finish is elegant and the price is very much affordable. Except for its size which is a little large.
Pros:
- Sound reproduction
- style and price
Cons:
- Size
- takes a little more space

Excellent Speakers have stood the test of time
Bought a pair of these when I got married 7 years ago, not shocked to see 'em still available. Excellent sound reproduction: deep bass, crystal highs, they easily handle everything my receiver has to offer, the amp clipping long before the speakers reach their limit.

My first experience with Yamaha speakers began in 1997 with my first set of bookshelf speakers which I still have today. After that I had to continue my experience with Yamaha speakers. In 2008 I purchased a set of NS-777 performance speakers from then on nothing else would do.
