I have had a persistent cough throughout my life. Doctors told me I had Asthma, which never really made sense and the preventer inhalers never really worked. Then I read an article about gas causing Asthma. My 4yo son also has the same symptoms and same diagnosis. Within a week of installing this, both mine and my son's coughs have cleared up! This thing boils a mug of water in 1 minute flat. We are going to dump our electric kettle, we no longer need it. Overall our cooking experience has actually improved because of how much quicker it heats stuff. A few downsides: * We have had to put a couple of our saucepans in storage and our bialetti doesn't work directly anymore. * Cooking anything where you lift the pan off (e.g. pancakes) is annoying as the cooker turns off a second after you lift the pan. * You may miss your wok. We never had one, so cannot comment further However all the rest of our cookware works perfectly (if a magnet sticks to the pot it works very well with this cooktop...
