Finally works after a week of trying
First, I disabled the quick start-up feature in the bios. This allowed the installation to go on while the bios was set to AHCI instead of IDE. Still the installation of Windows XP would stop after the first re-start.
Very small and light weight; Newegg shipped these in a box, inside the box were 2 more smaller boxes; Each drive was in it's own box and each drive was in a heavy duty bubble pack pouch; I was also able to install these in an old Acer laptop using a SATA to IDE adapter.
I have an Acer netbook A0531h; The hard drive died; I tested it and it has a bunch of bad sectors; It doesn't do me any good to have the Acer drive recovery files on then hard drive; When you need them the drive is dead.
