Does what it's supposed to, but I ended up using my code for backups, the software it came with wasn't what I needed. I suspect it can be set up, but searching around there are lots of comments on their software,bbut why bother when I've got my own that works perfectly.

Western Digital has always made quality hard rives and storage devices, and this is yet another feather in their cap. It is ideal for any small business wanting a reliable and inexpensive option for storage.

I brought this and using as external storage for my Xbox One S, very easy to setup and not big hard drive at all. No fan keep it cool and turns off when I'm not using it. Plus with 4 tb have a ton space for all the video games I store on it.

It looks nice, performs well enough and depending on your budget, a huge capacity can be quickly connected. But it needs live sync software to make it more useful, not the WD Discovery suite that it comes with it.

I truly believe Western Digital drives are one of the best drives ever made! I have 4 Western Digital drives, for several years now. They last a really long time. I don't understand what "noise," some people were complaining about. My new 10TB drive is very quiet. I barely hear it!

Bought for a HTPC/Plex server. Work as soon you plug it. After few days I look at the temperature and it was running a bit hot nothing major. Around same time a bad/weak sector was reported by Hard Disk Sentinel. But one bad/weak sector is nothing major as a problem still perform very well.
