Good drive, not really quiet

I have bad luck with WD drives. These are supposed to be quiet drives so I gave it a try, but the vibration is high enough to shake the whole case. It'd be fine for office use, but not for a quiet PC.
Pros:
  • Large capacity
  • inexpensive
  • works well enough
Cons:
  • Vibration and noise

Great drive to store applications

This drive stores and loads all of my applications and games. I see a lot of people talk about game load times on SSD's, but the performance of this drive is such that I've never thought about putting all my games on a SSD to squeeze out a half second faster load times.

Reliable drive for everyday tasks. Quiet and runs cool.

Have 4 of these 4GB drives in a NAS box for storing BD Movies. They have been 100% reliable over many months. The temp's are good and have never gone over 40C in heavy loading. Idle in the 20's.

Failed just after 2 years

2 years and 1 month since purchase and the drive has just failed with bad sectors. Not impressed.
