Space Marine offers some fun game play that can get dull and monotonous at times but the presentation and soundtrack makes for a tolerable title. I came to this game as a complete novice to the world of Warhammer. I like the whole look of the Space Marines and the hardware but I don't really have any idea of what it's all about.

The game is similar to Gears of war. The gameplay is fun and story is not that exceptional. Its a one time play, didn't check its online functionality perhaps its disabled now that THQ is out of business. But worth trying for its price and good gameplay.

Strategy is well matched with the Warhammer tabletop game, but being a fast paced third-person action game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine requires much less in the way of thought and, consequently, will be unfamiliar to many fans of the source material.

Time to smash skulls and cause chaos…with honour The occupation ‘Space Marine' is thrown around so much on our consoles nowadays that the career is practically the future's equivalent of ‘Shoe Sales Assistant'.

Space marines have become a bit of an industry cliché. You know the ones - blokes in big power suits armed with guns the size of an armchair, often slightly balding and they always speak in gruff, serious voices while scowling.

The Warhammer 40,000 universe is one steeped in rich history and diverse, colourful storylines set in the far future, filled with a host of rather angry factions bent on destroying one another.

The Warhammer series has been the subject of several games for decades now, but Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine is probably one of the most anticipated. And it's a pleasure to say this installment doesn't disappoint, for the most part.
