This was a purchase out of necessity, not simply for weekend kicks. I did my research on the product, comparing it with different brands, models and price range. This uit came up as the winner! Affordable, accepts the standard WAHL combs, allowing for aftermarket purchases and replacements and its a reputable brand. This unit is a bit heavy, which tells me the components are not cheap plastic bits, just waiting to break. After receiving it, I had it out of the box, pre-oiled and ready to go within 5 minutes. I started slow, as I have never cut my own hair before... but before long, I was taking off large clumps. It was so easy to do, and with the help of the Wahl Comfort Grip, I had myself looking slightly more respectable, compared to the Hippy-Mop that I had grown since February!
