I have been wanting to review a top of the range Vortex binocular for a while now as I have heard so many good things about them but had not as yet had the opportunity to give one a really good testing, so when the guys at Eagle Optics said they would like me to review their 8x42 Viper HD, I could...
I like Vortex, so I was curious if shifting production from Japan to China would result in a worse quality of a "new" product. First of all, I have to say that the Japanese have built a brand new factory in China, and the leading staff are Japanese.
I bought these to replace a pair of binoculars that were half the cost of these. I couldn't be more pleased. These are far betteri than my old ones, as they should be! I haven't compared them side by side to the more expensive brands, but you will not be disappointed with them.
So much more clarity I just bought a this Vortex Razor HD 8x42 Binocular . They are as the name implies. I've gotten razor sharp images of birds and butterflies. The promptness of the delivery was smooth and quick. Great pair of binoculars for beginners and advanced as well.
Product was researched and Optic Outfitters provided exactly what I was wanting at the best price.... Shipping was on time and the product was exactly as ordered... Love these binocs

When I say top grade, I'm not talking about the $3000+ types, but something at a level that there will not be a significant improvement...
An amazing binoculars who perform well if not as well, it's not far from the competing brands that cost it twice. I highly recommend this binoculars, it will last many years! (That the Vortex Razor HD 8x42 does not get the last star is because the material selection in the neck strap partially...
