Vodafone Smart 4 review
Vodafone's latest budget smartphone improves on its predecessor and adds a few extras to the recently released Smart 4 mini to create a decent workhorse of a smartphone for a sub-£100 price. It's on sale now for £75 from the Vodafone online shop.
Pros:
- Good-sized screen
- latest version of Android (KitKat)
- low price
Cons:
- Poor camera
- processor could be better
- no 4G

Vodafone Smart 4 Review
Made by a company called "Yulong" (no, we've never heard of them either), this is the rather cheap (£75 on Pay As You Go) Vodafone Smart 4.

Vodafone Smart 4
Vodafone's no stranger to the budget blower arena, with last year's Smart III providing fairly decent bang for buck, but a lot has changed in the span of a year. Motorola's Moto G is the reigning champion when it comes to low-priced mobiles, and the recent 4G addition has only boosted its longevity.

Vodafone Smart 4 Power
Budget smartphones have been steadily growing in size of late, with first the Asus Zenfone 5 and then the Motorola Moto G 2 moving up to 5in displays for less than £200. The Vodafone Smart 4 power is the latest handset to join the club, but it has one feature its rivals lack: 4G.

Vodafone Smart 4 Power review
If you buy the Vodafone Smart 4 Power knowing exactly what you're going to get (which is a cheap 4G smartphone that's good for browsing the web and little else), then you may not be disappointed.
Pros:
- Low price, Android KitKat, Great battery life, There's not much to dislike about the price, and the Vodafone Smart 4 Power is one of the cheapest 4G capable smartphones on the market
- If you're after a cheap no frills smartphone, you'll probably be perfectly happy with the Smart 4 Power.
Cons:
- Tiny built-in memory
- Low screen resolution
- Poor camera
- Though the screen is large
- the resolution is unfortunately too low
- making the Android user interface look a bit ugly.

Better than expected and still finding new features.
I have had this phone 10 weeks and it is performing very well !.It is an improvement to my Smart 2 and is easier to use my knowledge of smart phones is limited but what I can't sort out myself the staff in Castleford store are very good at explaining things to this 76 OAP.

The Vodafone Smart 4 improves on last year's model with a better processor and larger screen, but it simply can't compete with the ever-growing range of budget blowers that offer you plenty of bang for buck.
Pros:
- We've got to hand it to Vodafone, as for a low-cost handset, the Smart 4 actually looks and feels much more premium than the £75 price-tag attached
- That said, it is a still a plastic affair, and doesn't hold a candle to other phones in the same price range, such as the Moto G or Nokia's latest...
Cons:
- While the Smart 4 shines with its robust build quality, stock Android and screen size, its actual display falls short of the sharp 720p panel we're spoiled with on the Moto G
- With a paltry resolution of just 854 x 480, it falls short of the HD quality we're used to seeing on many similar priced...

Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo
Budget smartphones have changed dramatically over the past couple of years, with technology once found only inside the most expensive mobiles now available on bog-standard, entry-level devices.
Pros:
- The Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo packs 4G data speeds and doesn't cost the Earth
Cons:
- The screen is unpleasant in every respect
- the battery life isn't great and it's not exactly pretty to look at either

Vodafone Smart 4 Turbo review: sweltering LTE, lacklustre UX
The budget smartphone space is becoming a little universe on its own. A lot is going on in the space: competition, innovations, deals, and new releases almost on a weekly basis; pretty much everything that's happening with high-end smartphones.
