The $15.99 sale price was reasonable. I don't care for the software for the secured area. The data is encrypted as it is installed and therefore inorder to edit the data it must be transferred back onto the computer.
Does your car stereo or home sound system have a USB port? Chances are it does, even if you haven't noticed it. The majority of stereos on the market do, so you can more easily enjoy songs from your digital music library.
Low-profile design; Lots of storage for intended use; Peppy read and write speeds
Easy to lose; Can be difficult to remove
Verbatim packs the Executive Metal flash drive in a fancy dark grey metal shell, promises great read and write performance and offers up to 64 GB of capacity. We take a close look at this weighty flash drive to see if the brains equals the brawns of the storage device.
Metal casing; Retractable USB connector; Fairly sturdy; Very good read speeds - as advertised; Available with up to 64 GB capacity
Write speed horribly slow - nowhere near what is promised; Somewhat bulky; There are more durable sticks out there; Other sticks are cheaper and faster
As I have mentioned in my profile I have used a huge array of USB sticks through out my time in school and Im still going through them now. Aesthetic Deatils Whilst all USB sticks are capable of storing a variety of different documents, music, videos even software this has been one of the best Ive...
The price for these Verbatim flash drives is an excellent deal for 3, they work great for smaller files & I don't have to worry about how I store it.
Not sure how reliable these micro-drives are after repated usage...I guess I will see as I keep using it. However physically, the device is seemingly built very solid and doesn't bend or flex.
I've been using this for a few days now and have transferred many gigabytes on it...with several overwrites...and it no issues at all; It is pre-formatted FAT32 and I benchmarked the following real-world speeds..; Write: 7.40 MB / sec Read: 23.77 MB / sec The size is incredibly small & slim..
The actual storage is 15 GB (and not 16)...not a big deal but just something to know going in
While the write speeds and things seem fine, they are extremely hard to open. I had to use the points of a sharp pair of scissors to get the usb part to slide out of the sleeve. Never again, they are terrible in this respect.
I love the way these look and feel, but they don't seem to stay in my computer well. If you barely touch it, it will load again just as if it was just inserted. Also, my computer states it doesn't recognize it sometimes. When it works, it serves its purpose.
I was so impressed to start with - such a small thing and fitted on my keyring so it was always with me. Shame it only lasted a year then failed completely.
