First for Women by Van Cleef & Arpels
I smelled this perfume for the first time about two months ago when I was at a birthday party. My neighbor was wearing it and when I smelled it, it reminded me of a perfume that I wore when I was in high school. This perfume smells so good!

Excelent prices
The service and price of my favorite perfume can't be beat. As soon as I see I start to run low, I immediately reorder, the prices are the best I have found.

First by Van Cleef & Arpels - I Love It!
My husband bought some men's cologne in Selfridges a while back and picked up some perfume samples for me, one of which was First by Van Cleef & Arpels, I had never heard of this scent before (neither had hubby) but really liked the smell of this on me from the sample (as did hubby) so I went online...
Pros:

Fabulous fragrance
First perfume gift set. For 26 years this is my fragrance of choice. A great blend of florals and sort of musk. The fragrance lingers. Finally the lotion is available again after 10 years. I'm going to order 3 more sets be for October 2016.

Nice, elegant fragrance
I have used this fragrance on and off as I do like others too. I use it in fall and winter more since it is heavier than the citrus types I use in summer. It is also more matrure as I find as it is a bit heavy. It has been around for a long time.

I don't think this is the real stuff
The bottle says Van Cleef & Arpels, but it doesn't smell quite the same as the cologne that I have been wearing for several years. This is supposed to be classified as a white floral, yet when I spray it, I smell something else - almost like alcohol.

Van Cleef & Arpels First : Perfume Review
Contemplating a quintessential classical fragrance, Chanel No.5 and Lanvin Arpège immediately come to mind. The aldehydes add shimmer to the flowers in the opulent floral bouquets of these great classics, interspersing the petals with the diamond dust of aldehydic fizz.

Well balanced and wearable all year, all day
This is the perfume I've worn for the longest time - over 20 years - coming back to it time and again after trying others. Its been overtaken by Palomo Picasso as my favourite but I still love it and, unlike Palomo, its not so strong that I find it overpowering in the summer.

Van Cleef & Arpels First
When FIRST came into my life, the other few perfumes I had used (seasonally,time of day, for an event) were gradually sidelined. At last FIRST seemed to have become my very own fragrance, and that, was a first!
