Valkyria chronicles remastered captures the essence of the original now in 1080p, 60fps and just as new. While the remaster was done well, I expected 2 and a localized version of 3 to go along with it.

A must play PS3 action strategy title remastered for the PS4. Has a great story, more personality than you can shake a controller at, and is an all around great game. Unless you hate strategy.
Fantastic game so under-rated a shame they made 2 and 3 on ps vita i can only hope one day they make them viable on PS4 as I would love to continue on the story. That is not to say the game doesn't end well it does
Brilliant game at a even better price
Quite possibly the most boring game ever made. Graphics are poor even for a PS3 port, I seriously doubt any "Remastering" was done. This game is so bad I am actually a little angry about it.
You owe it to yourself to play one of the greatest PS3 gems of the generation if not THE greatest gem. This release is the coolest one, skip the rest. Make no doubt this is the best series that SEGA has. We cannot let it die. Vote with your money!
Valkyria Chronicles was originally released for the PlayStation 3 in 2008. It was well received and spawned two sequels and an anime series. After playing this game and getting to know the characters (even crying at the death of one of them), I'm interested in seeing the anime.
Excellent story and character development; great voice acting and music; beautiful art style
Only one difficulty setting for the story mode battles
In a console generation that has become increasingly overrun with remakes and remasters, it is easy to understand why some have begun to take a rather cynical approach to these releases. Personally, it is very rare that I hear about one of these releases and get excited.
Sega somehow managed to make the game look EVEN MORE amazing on PS4; Everything that you loved about the game the first time around is back and better than ever
All of the cheap, end-of-battle, twist shenanigans are still as prevalent the second time around; Some of the more sizable missions tend to go on for too long
Set in a fictitious continent reminiscent of the 1930s, Valkyria Chronicles depicts Europa, divided and ruled by two super powers: the Empire and the Federation. The Empire has set its sights on invading the principality Gallia, which shares its...
- Amazing art design; music; presentation; - Great depth
- Some videos are not redone to newer standards
Back in 2008, Sony was at a low point in the console war. The PlayStation 3 was more expensive, less popular, and more difficult to develop for than the Xbox 360, and it had few notable exclusives to its name. It was into this climate of despair that Valkyria Chronicles entered as a surprise hit.
A perfect port of one of the PS3's best games
Not much to entice people who already own the PS3 or PC versions
