Doesnt even cover 1 km, chews batteries and crackle makes it hard to understand.

Unfortunately this product takes AAA batteries and not a built in rechargeable unit. Therefore it chews through batteries. I gave up on using them after changing the batteries several times in one day. Uniden is a great brand but I recommend buying radios with better power capabilities

The handheld radios are great, we used them on a camping trip and always great coverage and very clear.

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson he loves it. So easy to use, fits his little hands perfectly, very clear sound and affordable
