Not ultra, but it'll do

Solid and definitely has an audience. There could be some hard-to-ignore faults, but the experience is fun.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers Review

S treet Fighter II is seen as one of the best and most important games of all time. The original game garnered so much praise and developed such a large audience that it quickly became a re-release machine for Capcom.

Fun, nostalgic but could have been better for the pricea

It's been fun playing this with friends and family but with a hefty price tag I was underwhelmed foe the following reasons: The new single player mode which lets you use your motion controllers to re-enact moves like Hadouken isn't great and gets boring quickly.

As I stressed above, the question of Ultra‘s worth is hard to peg. Some might be thrilled to have yet another iteration of Street Fighter II to tool around with, while others will be less than pleased to play this decades-old game once more.

As unfair as it sounds to start off the review of an admittedly good game by slamming both it and its publisher, Ultra Street Fighter II and Capcom deserve it. The reason for this is that Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is being sold at an RRP of R599.

Game Review: Ultra Street Fighter II The Final Challengers

Just when you thought that you saw the last spin-off release of the never ending Street Fighter II , we get yet another version released, this time for the Nintendo Switch with Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers .

Its Street Fighter and the gameplay is still sublime; Being able to mix-up classic and modern graphics and sound effects; Beautiful; crisp visuals; Plenty of bonus features and a packed roster not hidden behind a paywall

The first-person Way of the Hado feels like pointless mode; A steep entry price point

Ultra Street Fighter II Nintendo Switch review - The ultimate version of the ultimate Street Fighter

is a Nintendo Switch reimagining of with a bit of thrown in for good measure, alongside a bunch of new features and balance changes. Now, I'm not going to remind you that is a great game. You know that already from playing any one of its countless iterations.

Switch Review - 'Ultra Super Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers'

Buy Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers In the two months since its debut, the Nintendo Switch has become a hotbed for fighting fans looking for the classics. Granted, all of the fighters are coming from the Neo Geo camp, but few will complain about getting Garou: Mark of the Wolves , The...

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers review – the high price of nostalgia

It's still amazing that such an old game can remain so playable after all these years, although it's equally incredible that Capcom still insist on charging full price for it.

20 years on and it's obvious why this is still the world's favourite 2D fighter; Plenty of options, including online, and the new Ryu and Ken are fun; Great remixed music

Offensively expensive, especially given the cost of Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix – and the fact half its features have been hacked out; Ugly new art and awful first person mode
