Ultimate Ears MegaBoom 3
Super-portable, super sound. Welcome to the Logitech UE BOOM 3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker!
Better sound than before
Ultimate Ears unique processing belts out clear and balanced audio regardless of the volume level. The 360-degree built-in sound is beautifully balanced, while deep and satisfying bass notes punctuate each track.
Stylish sound
The two-tone fabric covering the speaker is great to look at, but it's tough as well. The textile has been designed for extreme applications, like motorcycle jackets and fire equipment, so you know it is built to last.
Nearly unbreakable
The toughness continues with the construction of the BOOM 3. It has survived more than 25 tough durability tests, including thousands of button pushes, tumbles, drop tests, and more. Party hard with a speaker that's even harder!
Wet and wild
The BOOM 3 boasts an incredible IP67 water and dustproof rating. It can be submerged under water for up to half an hour, and when it comes back to the surface it will float, while STILL playing your favourite music.
Introducing the Magic Button
One button on the BOOM 3 lets you play, pause and skip tracks directly on the speaker, while one push lets you control streamed music. You can even set up one-touch playlists for Apple Music and Deezer Premium via the app. That really is one magic button.
A party-friendly battery
When the music stops, the party ends. Thankfully, the party goes on and on with 15-hour battery life! The BOOM 3 runs on the same battery technology as some electric cars, so it will go the distance as far as your party is concerned.

Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 3 - Lagoon Blue 984-001416 review
- Subtle but brilliant design upgrades
- Sort of useless Magic Button
UE Megaboom 3 review
The previous generation UE Boom 2 was one of our favorite waterproof speakers of all-time and for good reason – it had a rugged design that could take a beating, got incredibly loud, and sounded great for the money.- Class-leading battery life
- Gets incredibly loud
- Punchy sound
- Recessed mids
- Bass sounds loose at high volume
- Charging dock not included
Ultimate Ears Boom 3 and Megaboom 3: Our New Favorite Bluetooth Speakers Under $200
Ultimate Ears has been making some of my favorite Bluetooth speakers for years, and I'd argue that although the Boom 3 and Megaboom 3 aren't game-changing, they're definitely the company's best-sounding pure Bluetooth speakers. They look good and are dead simple to use.
Ultimate Ears MEGABOOM 3 - Sunset Red 984-001418 review
Tough, loud and bags of fun. Ultimate Ears’ hot streak continues- Bassier than before
- So very loud
- IP67 makes it even more durable
- PartyUp is a great (if a little terrifying) feature
- Magic Button isn’t magic
- but we’re glad it’s there
- No Spotify playlists
- No USB-C
- We miss the volume strap
Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 review
The Megaboom 3 didn’t have to do a whole lot to build on the brilliant foundations set by its forerunner. It’s still rugged as hell, easy on the eye and gloriously noisy, while the low end enhancements make it easy to recommend. If, like this writer, you’re of the Apple Music persuasion, summoning playlists with the Magic Button is great, and I can see it being a popular feature for those who work out at home. It’s just a shame the Spotify crowd aren’t afforded the same privilege. The speaker feels nice in the hand, but I’m equally happy to fling it into my backpack without a care. For holidays, road trips, festivals and all-day picnics in the park, Ultimate Ears’ latest is a no-brainer. Booming brilliant.- Bassier than before

Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3
The first Ultimate Ears Boom was a landmark audio product when it launched back in 2014. At a time when Bluetooth speakers were just beginning to flood the market, it stood out with its 360-degree sound and rugged form factor. Soon after came the bigger, tougher Megaboom.- Energetic
- entertaining sound
- 360-degree delivery
- Good battery life
- Rugged but attractive design
- New play/playlist button
- No 3.5mm input
Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 review: Once More With Feeling
Despite being one of the biggest names in the party speaker space, Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 still manages to meet expectations. Chances are, if you own a portable speaker: it’s probably branded Ultimate Ears.- Nicer design
- Magic Button is limited by service
- No major improvements
I like to consider myself a bit of an audiophile in that I'm rather particular about my speakers. I have high expectations and am often let down, especially when it comes to speakers and headphones that cost over $100 (I'm frugal as hell too).
Review: Ultimate Ears MegaBoom 3 pumps out the tunes with ample bass
Ultimate Ears MegaBoom 3 is the latest incarnation of arguably one of the best and most popular portable Bluetooth speakers. The newly updated models finally have a design refresh, albeit a small one, as well as better sounding audio quality.- Review
