EA Sports UFC 2 review (XB1)

After managing a respectable-yet-flawed debut in 2014, EA has taken a second stab at crafting a licensed UFC game. The sophomore effort builds on the strengths of its predecessor to produce a much deeper and more satisfying experience.

The game is outstanding compared to the last 2 games, the movement etc on ufc 3 is on a different planet all together

EA Sports UFC 2

Bruising, buggy and beautiful, UFC 2 is a technically triumphant fighter, but its combat can easily flounder and frustrate.

It looks incredible; Ground holds are a tense treat; Knockdowns make you feel 50ft tall

Punches lack punch; Career mode sorely lacks personality; Not enough content on offer

EA Sports UFC 2 review

What you're left with is an impressive package that represents both a marked improvement from its predecessor and a real treat for UFC fans - even if it may not capture everything that's great about the sport.

EA Sports UFC 3 review – trying for the knockout

2017 may have been one of the best years gaming has ever seen, but it did have some dark undertones. The rise of loot boxes in the second half of the year threatened to overshadow everything, until the outcry over

The graphics are excellent, with a real sense of weight and power behind every move; When you're on your feet the action is realistic and exciting

The ground action is pretty awful and the game is terrible at explaining itself; Slow and unwieldly controls; Ultimate Team is disgustingly predatory

Its okay

Just dont feel personally that UFC translates over to computer games very well, its just like a wretling game where things seem not smooth and clunky!

Great game

I pre ordered this game for release and am very glad I did, WE has really hit the nail on the head when it comes to this game, the striking and grappling are very very good.

UFC 3

UFC has ventured into the world of video games once more with UFC 3 on PS4 and Xbox One, and to start off with, the presentation in this game is utterly brilliant. When it comes to a realistic framing of the sport, EA Canada has done a wonderful job, and everything from the loading screens to the...

EA Sports UFC 2 Review

While certainly looks the part, it doesn't feel it. Strikes are razor sharp, kicks are satisfyingly heavy, and each and every fighter is beautifully sculpted and recreated, but each and every element is too robotic and rigid to recreate the dynamism and unpredictability that draws me to real UFC...

Varied stand-up game; Impressive visuals

Ultimately predictable; Ground game is too rigid; Uninspired game modes

EA Sports UFC 2 review

His entrance music blaring, Matt jams in his mouthpiece and heads to the octagon to size up EA Sports UFC 2.

A wealth of moves and modes; Smart grappling mechanics; Ultimate Team is excellent; Joe Rogan cheat code

Feels a little sluggish, and a bit lifeless; Brutally steep learning curve; Some training mini-games are confounding
