UFC 2

Trying to distill everything that makes MMA so brutal, complex, and amazing to watch is no simple task. EA Sports' first outing in the UFC franchise was an interesting first stab at bringing the intensity of the sport to the console, but it lacked the approachability that helped define their other...

This visually stunning take on the sport of MMA builds on the depth and variety of combat styles that makes the sport so appealing to audiences around the globe

It still remains incredibly difficult to lock in holds; which isn't aided much by the lack of substantial tutorials for both new and old mechanics

EA Sports UFC 2 Review

While certainly looks the part, it doesn't feel it. Strikes are razor sharp, kicks are satisfyingly heavy, and each and every fighter is beautifully sculpted and recreated, but each and every element is too robotic and rigid to recreate the dynamism and unpredictability that draws me to real UFC...

Varied stand-up game; Impressive visuals

Ultimately predictable; Ground game is too rigid; Uninspired game modes

EA Sports UFC 2

Bruising, buggy and beautiful, UFC 2 is a technically triumphant fighter, but its combat can easily flounder and frustrate.

It looks incredible; Ground holds are a tense treat; Knockdowns make you feel 50ft tall

Punches lack punch; Career mode sorely lacks personality; Not enough content on offer

Review: EA UFC 2 (Xbox One)

It is the fourth round of a UFC featherweight championship fight. My fighter, a former UFC lightweight champion who worked his way to the top after winning The Ultimate Fighter in dominant fashion, is in big trouble.

Tight controls; Beautiful; realistic graphics; Interesting Ultimate Team Mode

Steep learning curve for new players; Event Mode needs more fine tuning

EA Sports UFC 2 review (XB1)

After managing a respectable-yet-flawed debut in 2014, EA has taken a second stab at crafting a licensed UFC game. The sophomore effort builds on the strengths of its predecessor to produce a much deeper and more satisfying experience.

Xbox One Review: EA Sports UFC 2

UFC 2 may be the best MMA fighter I have played, even if doesn't mix things up as much as some might hope. I love being able to pit Mike Tyson against Bruce Lee in the octagon and what's best is that UFC 2 is easy to pick up and play, which makes it more accessible to newcomers and veterans alike.

Earning Its Place At The Top

EA Sports' debut game with the UFC license in 2014 was a good first attempt, but problems with the ground game and a barebones infrastructure prevented it from remaining interesting in the long term.

EA UFC was a great game, but it lacked substance. The meat was fine, but it had no potatoes. The other problem with the game was that while the presentation was great, it suffered from a ridiculous ground game system and lack of other game modes.

My son and I have a blast playing this

I care about what children grow up learning, but I would say this game is ok for anyone over 10. Because you don't want your children learning to fight people. But if your child is mature like an adult, this game is ok for them to play.
