Transcend Wi-Fi SD Card review: shooting and sharing

Verdict: WiFi is included on some cameras these days, but it's still the exception to the rule. That's surprising, as the usefulness definitely outweighs the relatively low cost of adding the feature. Transcend has come up with a solution in the shape of the Wi-Fi SD Card, and we tried it out.

Verdict: The cards, I'm presume, are fine. I have not yet used them because the gig I ordered them for (10 days prior) came and went without the cards arriving for another week or so afterwards. Three-plus weeks to deliver SDHC cards is not acceptable.

Waste of time

4.0
Verdict: I've wasted 2 hours trying to get this to connect to my Mac. Downloaded various bits of software, no joy. Honestly, it's more convenient to use a USB connector or SD card port on laptop. Had high hopes for this, but back for a refund I think.

Transcend 32 GB Class 10 SDHC Flash Memory Card

Verdict: I use a lot of memory cards for various cameras, all different classes and speeds. When using my Nikon D-90, I was so frustrated at how slow it was to take photos because of the lag time between shots, when the image was writing to the card.

Pros: Quick in use, good price
Cons: A little slow at transferring photo's onto a computer
Verdict: Price and Availability I bought the Transcend 32GB SDHC Memory Card when I was on holiday a couple of years ago. I'd taken more pictures than I thought I would on my camera and decided to just buy a new memory card instead of deleting some of the pictures.

Pros: It works great
Verdict: I purchased this Transcend 32GB SDHC Class 10 card to use in my Fujifilm FinePix SL300 camera. I had a Transcend 16GB card that I had bought when I purchased the camera, which worked flawlessly, so I got this one for a backup.

Endless pictures

5.0
Pros: Easy To Use, Large Capacity, Writes/Reads fast
Verdict: I'm using this with a Canon SD750 and it's like I just upgraded the RAM. Not that the camera was ever really slow between taking pictures, but the downtime between pictures has definitely decreased.

In terms of price: performance ratio, it can't be beat.

You get what you think u are getting

5.0
Verdict: Unlike many cards that claim this but you get that, this card does what it says on the package - up to 20MB/s. When I tested in my desk top usb2 reader thru CrystalDiskmark at 50 MB setting it was just over 20MB/s reading and a touch under 20MB/s writing.

SDHC for Camcorders

5.0
Pros: Very fast Class 10 SDHC, efficient works very well even at Full HD 1080P yes P TM700 Camcorder
Cons: None so far
Verdict: Since 16Gig will give you slighly more than 1 hour of 1080P recording, it makes for a great recording chip for the average user. Who actually wants to record and edit much more than an hour of HD video.
