Great visuals; gameplay and soundtrack

Weak story; no online support

This game will remind you of WoW straight away, well why? Because it is made by the same artists, so the graphics are very colourful, very cartoony.... and well a hack and slash similar to Sacred, Titan Quest, Diablo 2 of course and so on.

This game sure comes with some serious pedigree: Travis Baldree, designer of Fate, and Max Schaefer and Erich Schaefer, co-designers of Diablo I & II put their heads together and came up with an action hack&slash isometric RPG game that can appeal to all ages.

In every genre there's typically either a handful of titles or, in the case of the action-RPG a single title, that define the genre at it's finest point. In this case, the Diablo series will forever cast an immense shadow over any game that that labels itself in a similar fashion and Torchlight...

Developed by Runic Games, Torchlight is the latest game to join the semi-popular Diablo-like genre. For those not in the know, the genre can be summed up in one of two ways, depending on the perspective of the player at the time.

Torchlight is a lovingly crafted and polished action-RPG that is an absolute must for any fans of the genre, and well worth looking into from anyone else even vaguely interested.

Torchlight captures what a dungeon crawler should be with visually stunning enviroments and effects, addiction hack and slash mouse clicking and loads of options for character customisation.
