A mile wide, an inch deep

The game is just designed for squad based multiplayer really . Single player wears thin very quickly, game just does not work as two player co op. Missions very repetitive, game world is massive, but there is nothing actually in it. The world around you feels dead.

Game Review: Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands offers an open world experience on a massive scale in a location that hasn't be visited before. Ubisoft have taken the risk of taking the tactical shooter to an open-world scale comparable to Far Cry , Watch Dogs and Assassins Creed .

An amazing open-world space; Gun gameplay is decent; 4 player co-op offers some fun experiences; A nice amount of vehicles

Story is awful; The terrain even though large is dull and lacking any character; The bugs are really a massive issue; Playing solo is not worth it; Far too repetitive; Too many collectibles

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Initially, it seems as if there will be little handholding in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands . Players create their own character, an elite U.S. soldier codenamed Nomad, and after a brief introduction from C.I.A.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands Review – Huge Open World of Technical Issues

As gamers get pickier about what games they'll drop their hard earned money on, game companies have to come up with big selling points for their games. For Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands , the selling point is that the tactical third-person shooter takes place in a gigantic world spanning the...

Gunplay is generally fun; Looks good minus texture pops; Better with friends

Highly repetitive mission design; Boring world to explore; Filled with glitches and technical issues

Ultimately, that's Wildlands' main issue. There's a pretty decent core to it, but everything from the monotonous mission design to the way the characters are introduced and immediately discarded to the lame audio to the overpowered AI just chips away at different parts of the game until you're left...

Ghost Recon: Wildlands review – co-operative tactics

As an open world co-op shooter there's a lot to enjoy here, at least until you realise how shallow and repetitive the underlying action is.

Excellent co-op options and enjoyable gunplay; The drone is a lot of fun and the customisation options are fairly interesting; Large open world and lots of vehicles

No real innovation or surprises, with an unreliable cover system and mediocre artificial intelligence; Very little fun on your own; Politically questionable story

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands - PlayStation 4

I love this game. I don't like having to stop playing.

If real life Bolivia is anything like Ubisoft Bolivia then it's a worthy destination for any vacation. Just stay clear of the cartels I guess. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands features one of the more beautiful open worlds you will find in any game.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands review

Andi takes on the cartels in Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Fantastic gun play; More players means more fun; Loads to do

Forgettable story; Dull villains; An absolute bore if you're playing solo
