Like most people, I love open world gaming where you can go almost anywhere and do anything, in any order that you choose. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands takes that concept to the extreme, practically giving players the entire country of Bolivia as their sandbox warzone.

Your Ghost always appears in story cutscenes and gameplay as Nomad, the squad's leader (in co-op, all players always hear Nomad's voice whenever their character is speaking). Appearance and weapon customisation options are unfortunately not available for your A.I.

Initially, it seems as if there will be little handholding in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands . Players create their own character, an elite U.S. soldier codenamed Nomad, and after a brief introduction from C.I.A.

Set a few years from now, Ghost Recon Wildlands lets you lead a four-player team of Ghosts on a covert mission to eliminate the Santa Blanca drug cartel.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is all over the place in terms of its quality. Some missions are frustrating, the game is not without its technical and design flaws, and its sandbox action can sometimes be repetitive, ludicrous and over-the-top.

This huge, wide-open shooter constantly shows its flaws in its mission variety and vehicle physics, but its strong, sandbox-style gameplay and seamless co-op kept me coming back for more madness.

If real life Bolivia is anything like Ubisoft Bolivia then it's a worthy destination for any vacation. Just stay clear of the cartels I guess. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands features one of the more beautiful open worlds you will find in any game.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands can provide countless hours of thrilling sandbox shooter gameplay, but co-op is needed to make the most of it. Its massive, numerous and diverse locales are often gorgeous to behold, and navigating them tactfully with a good co-op team is a blast.
