Ghost Recon Wildlands Review – PS4

A solid open world shooter with a tactical flavor that adds a bit of variety to otherwise repetitive objectives, Ghost Recon Wildlands is at its best when you join a squad of real people, and lay waste to the Santa Blanca cartel together. Just don't go into it expecting engaging characters or plot.

Ghost Recon Wildlands Review

There comes a point when you begin adding bits and pieces from various titles, specific open-world elements that have worked well enough in other games, mechanics from genres more conducive to the idea of leveling-up a character, an aesthetic that implies gritty realism, and things start to look a...

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands

Your Ghost always appears in story cutscenes and gameplay as Nomad, the squad's leader (in co-op, all players always hear Nomad's voice whenever their character is speaking). Appearance and weapon customisation options are unfortunately not available for your A.I.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is all over the place in terms of its quality. Some missions are frustrating, the game is not without its technical and design flaws, and its sandbox action can sometimes be repetitive, ludicrous and over-the-top.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands Review

This huge, wide-open shooter constantly shows its flaws in its mission variety and vehicle physics, but its strong, sandbox-style gameplay and seamless co-op kept me coming back for more madness.

Awesome game!

Both myself and a colleague bought Ghost Recon about three weeks ago and we have played it almost daily since. It's a perfect combination of Grand Theft Auto and Call Of Duty, resulting in a beautifully finished and wonderfully playable stealth shoot ‘em up.

Fun with friends.

This game is awesome in solo, but the main brunt of the fun is with friends. I love how it's the tactical side of Tom Clancy in an open world. You'll easily find something to do, especially with friends.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands Review

Co-op games have sort of become a lost art. Developers often conflate the idea of co-operation simply by adding an extra person to what was already happening. Ghost Recon Wildlands takes a much different approach, crafting a game that requires two or more great minds working perfectly in synch to...

Huge world map; Lots to do in the sandbox; Unique and rewarding upgrade system; Meaningful; tactical co-op; Solid teammate A.I

Embracing Excess

Tom Clancy's fictional special forces operation is no stranger to adaptability. Over the course of the franchise's 15-year history, the interventionist Ghosts have stymied Russian ultranationalists, destabilized the North Korean army, and squelched a Mexican insurgency.
