One of the best lenses in this range
Great for low light situations. Brighter image in your viewfinder. More light for your focus sensors. This is one great find in a lens. I'd been reading reviews praising this lens and after shooting with it myself for a few weeks I have to agree, its one of the best lenses in this category, maybe...
Pros:
- Easy to switch to MF
- Excellent Contrast
- Great for low light work
- Sharp
- Solidly Built
Cons:
- none

Great Lens
This is the best wide-angle lens around for cameras with Nikon DX sized sensors. It's got great optical quality, and with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 it's faster than competing wide-angle lenses. It produces very good results with DX body at all apertures, of course a bit better stepped down.

FLAWLESS OPTICS, handles great, not overly heavy, bright, great!!
There are only a few options out there for Nikon and Canon shooters wanting wide angle lenses.
Pros:
- Fast
- sharp
- fluid
- easy to use.
Cons:
- None
- unless you expect a broader zoom range

Very good
Very nice peice of glass, Sharp, fast.. The focus mode ring is very nice, i prefer it to a switch personally Only thing is it is a bit loud to focus.

Pinsharp, fast, better than Nikons 14-24
Have used the Tokina 11-16 for all purpose use including event photography, static displays, landscapes, and holiday photos. Used with a D300. Best to consider this lens a prime lens - I rarely use the 16mm end of the zoom as 11mm is just fantastic.
Pros:
- Consistent Output
- Durable
- Lightweight
- Rugged
- Sharp Focus
- Strong Construction
Cons:
- Lens Flare

Love it
Excellent Lens, Love it and worth it, For my humble D60, this lens is worth it, and I can also use it for D90 if I have enough $ to upgrade my Nikon.

Good quality, but not as sharp as I was expecting
It feels very well made, and the focus/focal length rings are nice and solid with a feeling of security. I bought this for my Nikon D90. No particular reason for choosing this over the Mk II other than a saving of $50ish, and the possibility that my camera's focus motor might be quicker than the...
