Great product so far.
I had Nikon D7000 with kit lens and another Nikon lenses. But this one is really an exceptional lens. A super ultra wide angle lens with huge aperture made my wide angle photos awesome and ready to print without much post processing. So happy with this.

Absolutely stunning pictures!
For vast open landscape photography or shooting the Milky Way galaxy, there is no other lens that is better than this in this price range. I used it on a cross country trip and it performed stunningly. The lens produces very crisp and professional quality images.

Tokina AF 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X Pro DX (Canon) - Review / Lab Test Report
The 11-16mm f/2.8 looks and feels virtually identical to its 12-24mm f/4 cousin - consequently it shares all its qualities here like the excellent build quality. The outer shell is made of high-quality polycarbonate whereas the zoom mechanism is made of metal.

This lens is a built like a tank. Just picking it up you can tell there is no plastic on this lens. Constant F2.8 is great for low light shooting. with 11-16 you really are about as wide as you are going to get. My copy is razor sharp and produces excellent color and contrast in the images.
Pros:
- Build quality, Razor tack images, great low light shooter, great color and contrast output
- Ultra wide which is very nice for landscape, no MF/AF switch
- Very good price point
Cons:
- It is heavy
- If you use Cokin P filters get vignetting from about 11-13
- need to use ultra slim screw on filters

Super Wide
A great wide angle lens. I have 5 other lenses and this being the only non-nikon/nikkor. This was much cheaper than the Nikon alternative and all the reviews were quite positive. Build quality is excellent and feels like a real nice solid lens.
Pros:
- -Sharp image quality -very little distortion compared to similar lenses -great quality -focus is quite quick on my D7000 -awesome lens for large landscape shots
- and I have also used several times for time delay shots at night for northern lights (I work in N Alberta).
Cons:
- -quite heavy -you will get a shadow when using the DSLR's built in pop up flash because the lens is so wide and large.

The Tokina 11-16mm offers a rather limited focal range but it makes up for this in speed, offering a fixed aperture of f/2.8 throughout. It also has no focusing motor so can be fairly noisy during operation, which means it won't autofocus on Nikon entry-level D-SLRs.

Beware...GREY MARKET LENS
I specifically called BVI prior to ordering this lens through the BB Marketplace and asked if it came with the USA warranty and after being put on...
Cons:
- International Warranty ~ Not US as Promised
