The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD
Every single Zelda game leaves a distinct mark on fans, but we think we can state that, without a doubt, 2006's Twilight Princess was one of the most special entries in the whole series.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is an excellent addition to the Wii U library. We do acknowledge that it's a series entry that has its critics, with them often citing a lack of revolution from the Ocarina of Time template, in particular.

A lasting legend - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD review
The original Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is very much a product of its time. Created with an art style designed to look gritty and mature after early fan backlash of Wind Waker's bright and "kiddie" presentation, and with each foot loosely planted between two console generations, Twilight...
Pros:
- Puzzle design is outstanding
- GamePad support works well
- Feels better defined with Wii U in mind
Cons:
- Only minor visual enhancements
- Cave of Shadows is a bland and minimal piece of new content

The Legend of Zelda is 30 years old. While that is impressive enough on its own, Twilight Princess has existed for nearly a full third of that time. That really makes me stop and think. Come November of this year, my favorite Zelda game will be a decade old.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD review
Even though Twilight Princess HD is haunted by the shadow of Nintendo's NX, it still ranks as a Wii U essential. Its graphical makeover brings a new clarity to Hyrule's most mournful incarnation, while the addition of Hero mode means Zelda devotees won't breeze through their hardened surroundings.
Pros:
- More detailed textures improves overall aesthetic
- Incredibly well-designed and enjoyable dungeons
- Brilliant characters engage you throughout
Cons:
- Main game can be too easy at times
- Bosses often don't live up to the dungeons
- Some areas of brown dullness in the world

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Review
Of the legion of Legend of Zelda titles, Twilight Princess has been among my favorites since completing it on the Wii back in 2006. I love the duality of the weird, trippy Twilight Realm contrasted with the healthier nature-like world of Hyrule.
Pros:
- One of the best versions of one of the best Zeldas ever made
- Gamepad or Pro controller is terrific
- mostly more precise
Cons:

Once more into the twilight
Impressive effort with a few noticeable problems holding it back. Won't astound everyone, but is worth most people's time and cash.

It's great to finally have a high-definition port of Twilight Princess - it needed one more than most. Its strong dungeon design holds up well enough, but its meandering pace is unlikely to win over its detractors. Still, if you missed it the first time, give it a look.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (Wii U) Review
The most noticeable change in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD is the graphics, particularly the textures. It all runs in 1080p HD, something that was simply not possible on the GameCube or Wii, and many textures are now vastly improved.
