Was not expecting much when I bought this game; just wanted a good RPG game with a story that I could pass the time with. The only way I can keep playing this game is when I' am completely drunk out of my mind, it's that boring and lame.

The Last Remnant made by Square Enix is a console RPG in the fashion of Final Fantasy now brought to the PC. You play as a young man named Rush and are on a quest to find your sister Irina that was kidnapped, not stunningly original but it beats rescuing princesses.
The world of JRPGs on the PC is a barren, desolate place. Nearly every entry into the genre seems to be riddled with bugs, awkward controls, and a generally underwhelming presentation that makes one wonder why anyone would even bother.
The disc itself works BUT since this is a USED COMPUTER GAME it needs a product key # to work. Basically only the original owner of this disc can play this game. So I purchased something which I could simply not use. The seller was really understanding and gave me a full refund.
Completely average game, nothing special about it at all. If you really are a fan of Square Enix than by all means buy this game. If not, well there are better alternatives.
Game looks good; Solid game hours (meaning the actual storyline minus side quests takes a bit of time to do)
For an RPG, you don't do too much exploring as you will spend 90% of the time in battle; Oversimplified battle system; Aside from setting formations, battles require next to no skill
The words Square Enix and Role Playing Game usually equal a fantastic and highly enjoyable RPG. Which is why I was excited to review The Last Remnant for the PC. Little did I know that I was about to be punched in the face with blandness and boredom.
The herd of single-player role-playing games on the PC seems to be thinning as the years pass by, with subscription-based and free-to-play, pay-per-item massively multiplayer games filling in.
Unremarkable and for fans of the genre alone.
Massive, immersive, beautiful and addictive. A more PC-oriented control system would have been nice, though.
