"Needs work"

Graphic is awesome game play boring and the link up crap we really need a game that says if your advertising was as good as the game then I'm in. it doesn't live up to it. we need a mix of toca/v8/NFS/ and Horizon all in one game that would be the game to play sorry didn't rock my boat needs more...

The Crew

The Crew 's greatest achievement is its vast, beautifully rendered condensation of the United States. Dozens of major cities, landmarks, hills, valleys, backroads are all represented, and the game's current-gen horsepower gives us a sense of scale unlike anything we've ever seen.

All Show, No Go

I found myself enjoying the story, the online co-op, and the free roam open world; however, but what made me absolutely hate this game was the following:(1.) The AI. If you hate the rubber band effect, you'll hate the AI on this game.

Not for under 15's

I bought this game for my kid who was badgering me to get it. I completely regret it. In the opening parts of the game, someone is shot on screen and the main character is shown mourning as cops arrive and threaten to shoot him.

Repetitive Let Down

The Crew, for me at least, was a repetitive let down with over aggressive Police AI and frankly, not that much to do despite so many activities and locales. I loved how you could drive the entire USA, but in all that land there really wasn't that much to do besides races and the odd speed or slalom...

Potential does not equal quality - The Crew Review

The Crew has been an interesting case throughout the lifespan of its development. To begin with, everyone positioned it ads one of the biggest racing games to release on the "future generation" of consoles.

Car customization is executed upon fairly well; Tons of potential

Story is a joke; Handling is too loose; Feels stuck in the past; Map design is lazy and misleading; Co-op leaves something to be desired

Piercing the Hype: The Crew Review

Imagine an open world racing game with a huge map of the mainland USA that allows you to tune and customise every major aspect of your car. On paper, this idea sounds brilliant. Add to that [...]

Huge Map; Racing and Skills Variety; Car Customisation; OST

Car Handling; Environmental Rigidity; Opponent; Cop and Traffic AI; Collectible Cutscenes; Always Online

The Crew review

The Crew presents an ambitious vision of an online racing ‘CaRPG’, but is severely let down by its other design decisions, writes James Cullinane.

A beautiful world; Endgame isn't without its joys

Grinding; Microtransactions; Traffic AI is appalling

Mild in the streets.

Ambition has never been an issue for The Crew. When it launched last December, Ubisoft's open world "carPG" attempted to provide players the opportunity to drive across the entire continental United States with a full squad of friends, competing in a wide variety of events like traditional circuit...

Monster trucks add excellent goofy fun; Noticeably improved physics and graphics; Summit events provide intense competition; consistently fresh content

Driving still feels floaty despite updates; FreeDrive additions falter; Frustrations like the clunky UI remain unresolved
