I debated for close to four months on this or the DR-701D and other brands. When I made the decision, ordered it from B&H, and it came, I was surprised at how small it really is. Fits nicely under my Canon 80D and Canon EOS M6, or hanging off a boom operators side while filming cin scenes.

This little guy may be small but it gives you a ton of control over your recordings. It's small profile keeps it out of the way, but is right there when needed.

One of my favorite pieces of equipment...so easy to use and affordable. It does a great job, but burns batteries like a son-of-a-gun with phantom power...on just one mic. You should have many batteries with you if you plan to phantom power all four inputs on battery power.

Image what something like this would have cost 10 years ago. Remarkably intuitive, and a great backup unit for audio capture without breaking the bank.
