Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD review
The Tamron 35mm strikes an appealing compromise between speed and quality. It does weather pretty well too…...
Pros:
- Extensively weather-sealed
- Excellent auto and manual focusing
- Smooth bokeh
Cons:
- Some sharpness issues

The SP Series 35mm lens produces stunning high-resolution quality across a wide range of focusing distances. In particular, this lens features a milestone of proximity never before achieved with a standard lens – at an MOD of 0.2m*.

Meh. It's ok for the price. Moderate CA/fringe. Did a side by side with another 35mm and returned this one. If you must have a fx full frame on a budge, it works.

Faulty lens
This is my first experience with a third party lens. I hv been using canon lenses so far. Right out of the box the tamron lens was faulty. It came well packed and factory sealed. The lens was clubbed to a canon 1200D and then to a 80D ( brand new).

A member of Tamron's SP (superior performance) family, this 35mm features a fast aperture of f/1.8 and a focal length which gives it a superb level of versatility... The lens is very well-constructed – if a little bulky – and weighs a reasonable 480g.

This lens is a great buy
I'm very pleased with the Tamron SP 35mm F/1.8. I use it on my Nikon D500 & Nikon D810 and I've had very good results. I've heard some people report that the focus is slow on this lens however, I don't seem to have any issues with focusing with this lens.

I love this lense
At first I was looking for a 24 1.4, but the cost was huge and I couldn't find one with all the accessory pro's I wanted, then I found this, and I decided that it was close enough and the price was good. I made the right choice.
Pros:
- focal length
- sharpness
- weather resistant

Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD review
The market wasn't exactly short of 35mm lenses before Tamron introduced the second of its new range of fixed-focal-length optics. Damien Demolder investigates whether we need another.

Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD review
Behind the standard 50mm, the 35mm lens is probably the second most common fixed focal length for full-frame camera users. Just about every camera brand makes its own, and I suspect that most photographers who want one already have one – or at least have their eye on one.

The Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USD is suitable for use on both full-frame and APS-C-sensor cameras, providing a standard-type focal-length appearance for cropped-sensor users and a moderate wideangle for those with full-frame cameras.
