Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD

For me, the approach works. Not once did I feel limited when shooting with the 28-75mm. It focuses up close for near macro shots, it's deadly sharp when stopped down a bit, and it's perfectly capable of capturing quality images and video at its widest setting.

Compact; Wide, fixed aperture; Crisp results; Supports all Sony focus features; Quiet autofocus system; Moisture-resistant design

Not the best performer at 28mm f/2.8; Omits optical stabilization; Firmware update not available in macOS High Sierra

Great in every aspect besides eye af

I received the lens in early June. I haven't had a chance to review it. I tested it for a week and it focused great besides in eye af. I took it on 2 portrait shoots and it worked well and it tracked the eye. But when I loaded them on my computer only 5 out of 50 pictures had the eye in tack focus.

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III RXD

The build quality of this lens is ok but not very well. It feels cheap. Autofocus is exceptionally silent and relatively fast in my experience. The lens had some issues with the autofocus on Sony cameras. This problem was solved by a firmware update. The image quality is great.

good image quality good prize

not well build; feels cheap

I like it a lot

That's the only lens I bought along with a A7III body and it does the job amazingly. I don't think it can be beat for the price, for now!!

Sharp, Quick, Quite, and well-balanced.

Pre-ordered the lens and finally got this about 2 weeks ago. After giving my self some time to test. I can say this lens is amazing. Great all around lens! Super sharp at 3.5 with amazingBokehand still really good at F8 - F16 for landscape work.

I would say that you could only live with this lens. It is a fast lens with fast autofocus. The compatibility with Sony e-mount cameras is really good. It is not that heavy even when is kind of a big lens.

The new Tamron 28-75 lens is awesome

The lens actually is better than expected. I've noticed that it's been my go to in every situation that suits me for the last couple of weeks now. If you haven't played around with it, you should. Sharp, fast focus.
