It works for a while but regularly loses connection and forgets the wireless key - cheap and not at all reliable
Unfortunately, this device falls in the category of "too good to be true". Yes, Wi-Fi works despite its tiny chicklet size, but it quickly overheats in less than an hour (sometimes as little as 10-15 minutes) and disconnects.
I've bought several wireless clients from TP-LINK and was impressed by their quality. After I crushed a nano-USB Wifi adapter, I decided to try this because it looked sturdier. It seems to be built OK. However, I don't get very good reception with it.
Inexpensive; Compact size.Linux compatible.
Poor connection at a distance from WAP
The directions were not completely clear to me, but tech support got me going very well. The first few times after re-boot or re-start I had to run repair to get the connection going, but now all is smooth sailing.
Works great with linux, running in a raspberry pi for the occasion and is suitable for xbmc to pick the data. Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0bda: 8176 Realtek Semiconductor Corp.. I purchased a couple of these to put into two older notebooks we had that had wireless G cards built into them. Installation was simple and straight forward. I have full bars with my notebook at a 150 Mbps speed even though my TEW-639GR router is in the basement, two floors away.
Inexpensive; works fine; and nice and small
Micro would be even smaller
everything works! and it is SMALL! The installation was quick and easy. If there's one thing to complain, it drops off sometimes, but not very often, and reconnects quickly. It hasn't been an issue for me.
Fast delivery by Snapdeal, avarage product, reasonably prices, BUT poor range than TL-WN721 which avalible at less price, some times gets dissconnected also gets heated-up while using, may solve problem by downloading new drivers or firmware
Easy To Set Up
Unreliable Connection
Good product and giving a good service so far. Quite sturdy product which has survived few falls from my hands. Hope it will remain faithfull for few more years.
I have had a smart HDTV for a couple of years now and late last year the internet would no longer connect. I didn't use the TV internet much so it wasn't something I was worried about.
Revolutionary
Not cheap
