I got the newer model with web management.
I got the version that allows management via a web interface, glad I did as I didn't want a Windows only management version. I have only used it as a dumb switch so far with a port reserved for mirroring traffic on a piece of work that required that and it did he job well.

Worth the money
Product is great as usual and easy setup ,metal casing make its more sturdy ,worth buying it, will buy two more Only thing it lacks is the remote management

Great to have a cost effective, fanless gigabit home switch with Link Aggregation. Great compact form factor.

Great for home use
I was using wifi up until recently and got sick and tired of dropped or slow connections because of wifi interference. This lets me run most of my devices that are wired.

Good for the price, it is managed, but only via a Windows app (no WWW GUI or CLI)
Needed a VLAN capable switch for a LAN extension project, and at the price (22 quid +VAT for me) it seemed the perfect solution. Upside - it does what is says on the tin, it's an 8 port manageable VLAN capable switch with (limited) trunking capability.

Works perfect
Other reviews state noisy power adapters and such, nothing, it is fine, I also have the larger 16 port version of this, it also works fine, setup is easy, from the software tool it shows me no bad packets like another reviewer stated,, use cat 5E or better cable, I am using cat 6, QOS tagging, Vlan...

Great High Speed Switch
This smart switch is plug and play for most users. We are using two in certain areas for our small business and they work great. If you want to use a specific range of IP addresses I would recommend following the instructions before putting to use.

I was this close to sending my managed switch back because the box had "unmanaged" plastered all over it. TP-link is trying to market this as both a plug and play switch and a managed switch, only you have to open the box and discover the references to a web interface to know that you got the right...
